I bought this reel mower last summer. It's great! Lighter and easier to push than my gas mower. The lawn gets done faster with less effort. You do have to cut more often, once a week usually, only because it does't like cutting down grass that's too long, but I don't find that a problem, considering the no gas or noise pollution. I can now cut at any time of the day without the worry of disturbing the neighbors. Our lawn is large enough (1/2 acre) and not perfectly flat, but because of it 's light weight going sideways on the hills are no problem either! I highly recommend this Scotts mower if you are looking to switch from your old gas push mower.

Good mower. Works well but need to go make two passes to cut grass well. My lawn is all flat ground so it works for my application. Problem is the handle isn't very strong. I broke the handle on mine. Not sure where to get another handle. I'd recommend this mower to others; may need to be aware that the handle breaks.

I am the type of person that loves a nice lawn, but I have no interest in spending a tonne of time mixing gas or pulling extension cords. I guess you could call that lazy?
I am extremely happy with this mower. I mow the lawn about 3 times a week and it's just a matter of grab the mower, push it over the lawn and then put it back. It's fast and easy to use.
I'll never go back to gas or electric as this mower is a joy to use.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Scotty1 OMG Only use if you have lots of time!!
Use only if you have lots of time on your hands!! It cuts the grass, but only the blades that are sticking straight up. If the blade of grass (or weed)is bent over, good luck on cutting it. You do need to go over the lawn multiple times to get it evenly cut. 2 good notes... no gas and it does not send rocks flying. Needless to say i'm taking mine back.

Easy to assemble - Mowing the lawn in 15 minutes! Very light and easy to maneuver. We have a small inner city lot in Calgary and it's perfect for the small lot that doesn't require a gas lawn mower. The key advantage to this mower is the flexible height adjustment (up to 3") I would highly recommend this model if you're considering a push mower.

I would not recommend this mower for someone who is used to a self propelled mower and expects to exert little force. This mower will require you to exert a bit of force. If you regularly mow your lawn every few days this is right for you but if you expect to be able to cut 2 inches of length off your lawn then go with a gas mower.

Difficult to adjust the reel. Probably cause it is 20". But once I got is adjusted properly, it had no problem eating grass. Adjust one side at a time. The thicker areas I had to go over twice, but then again I usually went over it twice with the gas mower too.
Lighter than the gas mower, cuts at 3in high.

I have a lawn on 2 levels of my backyard and have to carry my mower up 6 stone steps to cut the grass. This mower is lightweight, easy to push, and very effective. It has a wide range of height settings as well, so I don't worry about cutting the lawn too short during the heat of the summer.
