This is 19th century technology. It takes work to push. The blades only spin *while* it's moving (so cutting interior corners is time consuming). But... what you get is priceless. No engine roar, no exhaust smell, and a serious cardio workout. It provides a strange retro satisfaction, and for a tiny lawn like we have, it works nice and takes up almost no space. The last time I used a reel mower was 50 years ago, at my grandmothers. I swore I would never use one again. Until about 2 months ago. Buy it, but only if you realize this is not an easy way to cut your lawn.

No fumes from gas, no residues from pollen, grass or sticks flying up hitting us or getting into our nose. No loud annoying noises or vibrations from this Scott's mower! Only one con and not even one to really affect the outstanding quality of none pollution & no noise pollution which outweighs the fact that little sticks do get stuck in the blade and it won't mow until the little stick is removed. However we have a lot of trees so this is to be expected. I highly recommend this product!

PROS: Cuts really well @ multiple height settings and is very easy to push. And, of course, price is right. CONS: Basket catches the grass in the front causing it to pile up quickly -- has to be emptied frequently. (2) lower handle screws went MIA after shaking loose from vibration despite tightening them really well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I "Reely" Don't Like This Mower I've only used it three times. Here's what I dislike: 1) every tiny little twig makes it stop moving. I read the instructions. I know it doesn't like sticks so I picked them all up first. But it's hard to see and get every tiny little twig. And, yes, a twig will stop it in its tracks. 2). One of the wheels is falling off. 3) the leaf bag is all catty-wampus and i have to constantly readjust it and push the clippings to where they should be. I can't believe this thing cost me $139.

Bermuda grass looks much better after using this than a rotary mower. The Grass Catcher is useless though.

The push bar is a great height and very comfortable to use. The second set of wheels make it easy to move around when I'm not cutting the grass. It's also compact enough to store easily in my .75 car garage. Love the mower itself, but the catcher design needs work. If the grass makes it into the catcher it gets stopped up at the front and starts falling out pretty quickly.
