Answer:
We suggest waiting at least 6 to 8 weeks before applying another product containing a lawn fertilizer. This product works to control existing broadleaf weeds, so ideally it should be applied to the label listed lawn types when these weeds are actively growing, to achieve the best results.

You can only use starter fertilizer or Turf builder with stater fertilizer on new grass. If you use Turf Builder plus weed killer, you will not be able to grow new grasss until next season

5,000 sq. ft. Turf Builder Fertilizer with Plus 2 Weed Control is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 624.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love TB +2 Weed Control Applied TB +2 Weed Control here in Virginia Beach yesterday, 03-30-13. Had already applied TB + Halts 6 weeks ago, or would be first doing a Halts application now. Wet my lawn overnight (in ground irrigation). Spread early morning because a wet lawn helps the weed control to adhere to the plant. Got it just right, didn't rain for more than 24 hours after the application. Lawn already looks good. Should look great in a couple weeks after having done this application - as it did last year. Scott's makes great lawn care products that are easy to understand, easy to use & are backed with their 100% satisfaction guarantee. It doesn't get any better than that!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plus 2, not what it once was. I have used Scott's products exclusively for over 25 years and until the past 3 or 4 have not been disappointed. The other fertilizer types perform as the should, but the Plus 2 line lately only handles dandilions and has NO removal impact against clover or broadleaved weeds. The last two seasons (2011 & 2012) I have had to supplent this product with a spray on weed killer. This is the reason I no longer recommend this product. If you only need dandilion killer and fertilizer combination this will exceed your requirements. If you are expecting it to perform as advertised, the results will disappoint you. I suspect a formulation change similar to what Scotts had done a couple years after releasing their grub control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from more expensive than other brands but worth it! Since last year I've been a dedicated Scotts user. Tried cheaper products and they don't cut it. Neighbors all asking me what I do to make the lawn so nice. Almost didn't want to reveal my secret but ah what the heck. :-) If you want the greenest, thickest, weed free lawn in your neighborhood go with Scotts year round. I'm happy I made the switch!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product has changed. I have been using Scotts weed & feed for 40 years. The first 24 years the texture of the granules was much finer and adhered to the damp weeds much better. The granules are larger and seem to roll off the weeds or they do not adhere as well. The result is less weed kill. I have switched to the liquid spray instead. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scotts Turf Builder Plus 2 with weed Control I have to admint. It's done a wonderful job to my lawn. My son who does landscaping wanted to know who I hired. I told him Scott's. I didn't tell him it was the stuff in the bag. He's looking for Scott's Lawn Care. I just can't stop staring at my lawn. It's a wonderful product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for me I have lived in this house for 3yrs. with no maintenance to my lawn and I know the previous owner and no maintenance was performed by their family either. I have a very shady lawn with very thin areas of fine fescue with lots of weeds ( dandelions, clover etc. ). Used 1 application in the spring according to scott's lawn schedule and it knocked out all dandelions in my yard and most of the clover. There is some other kind of weed left but it has thinned what weeds were left out alot. No this did not knock out every weed in one application but it's not supposed too if you lawn hasn't been maintained like mine. I think this has worked great for my lawn from only one application. My grass is doing great and better than the last couple of years. I have had friends and neighbors comment on my front yard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from consistant superb quality product on weed control Since switching to Scotts weed control fertilizer, I have had the best results, year after year - barely any weeds and lush lawn. I always had mixed results with other national brands. I have the same great results that rival my neighbors who use those professional services, who come out 6- 8 times a year, and are surprised when I told them I just applied the 4 season applications myself and at a fraction of their costs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product when applied correctly It took me a few tries to properly spread this product but once I learned the technique it worked exactly as described. The proper way is to make sure the lawn is wet enough for the material to adhere to the lawn/weeds. It is best used first thing in the morning when dew is still on the lawn. If that isn't possible have someone water the lawn thoroughly right in front of you while you spread. It does not, however, work on Violets. The product does not claim to but I thought it did.
