Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 621 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not kill dandelions Since I could not find a straight dandelion killer that I could apply with my broadcast spreader, I went for this. I bought 2 bags, heavily wet the lawn down concentrating on the weeds (says weeds should be wet so it sticks to them), applied both bags so liberally I could smell it for a few days. Also literally buried some of the dandelions in it. One week later and the fertilizer part is working well, the lawn is growing very fast and green, however most of the dandelions look like they are thriving. The first thing I always think when I see a poor review of a brand name product is USER ERROR. I can assure you, the stuff was on the dandelions, it has not rained significantly in two weeks (that's why I wet the lawn down myself), every day this week has been in the 70's, and most of those weeds out there are thriving. I think it withered a couple of them, but the vast majority are mocking me with their bright yellow smiles. April 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst product I ever used To start with I would have given no stars if I could have. I purchased this product to get rid of the weeds in my yard. It did not get rid of the weeds and now I have the existing weeds along with all other kind of weeds I have never had before. My neighbors do nothing to their lawns & have better looking yards than mine. I have wasted so much money on Scott brands & now I have a yard full of dandelions & about 7 other weeds that I have no clue what they are. THANKS A LOT SCOTT PRODUCTS. I'm a woman & have no one now to help me get rid of the weeds. March 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unusable Bought a bag early this afternoon. all bags wet. was told that it was humidity. However once got it home and the bag dried out.....it became a block of cement. Had to take it back. March 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Scotts kills EVERYTHING including grass! I used this (and the seed) for my lawn and it did nothing but kill everything. My concern was filling the patches that I had to make my lawn whole again. I used the product as directed and even bought the spreader. As you can see in the pics, you can see everywhere I went with this. The neighbors grass on left, right and across the street all have nice grass. Even the rest of my yard I did NOT use this product on is great and green. ONLY where I used this is where the grass is dead. Never again will I use this company or any sister companies they own. TERRIBLE! The only plus is that it didn't spread to the rest of my yard or the neighbor's yard... June 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm A Believer! I used Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed for years with great results. One year I used a generic turf builder with weed and feed because it was less expensive. The protection from the cheaper brand was far inferior than that of the Scotts brand. With the generic store brand, soon after the application the weeds disappeared, but then they returned fairly quickly. With the Scotts brand, the grass was greener and the weeds did not return for the season. .....So I'm back using Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed on my lawn.... It may cost a little more, but IT'S WORTH IT! (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) January 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not kill any of my weeds I had no idea that this product was discontinued but I am not surprised. I use all of your products for my lawn and have found this one to be the one treatment that has not worked for me. For years my weeds have multiplied and full of clover. I did report it this year to you and you did give me my money back. You do stand by your products with the satisfaction guaranteed or money back. I do thank you for that. I hope that a new product will be available that will work better to kill weeks. I have used Scotts for over thirty years and hope to continue. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless product (the herbicide part, anyway). Guess I need a professional. After using a pre-emergent in the spring, things looked good...until the heat of the summer hit. 2 applications of this Scott's post-emergent in mid-July and early September did virtually nothing. My once pristine lawn is now a haven for dandelions, crabgrass, clover, etc.... I followed all the directions, watered more than adequately, and otherwise tend to my lawn regularly and lovingly. Guess I need to go "nuclear" with some professional-grade stuff. September 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Greens up the lawn as well as the weeds Up to now I've used Scott's products for years so when a few weeds started to appear in our Bermuda grass lawn of course I looked for help from one of their products. After looking at their site I settled on the Turf Builder, Weed & Feed. I explicitly followed the directions on the bag and site and while it definitely greened up the grass, it also gave the weeds a huge boost. Lawn was wet when applied, didn't rain for 3 days after application and I applied the proper amount. Again, in my experience, it will green up the grass but claims of controlling weeds are unfortunately false. July 1, 2015
