Naturescapes Sierra Red Mulch is such a pretty color of dark red as you'll see in the pictures I posted. It sets off well against the landscape greenery and is pleasing to the eye. The advanced color guard is doing great at keeping that pretty red. The mulch is my preferred way of gardening organically because it's doing a wonderful job at preventing weeds without the use of herbicides. It's part of the weed "less" gardening program of organic gardening and water preservation. The mulch also is conserving a vast amount of water as it shades the soil and root system. The shrubs are healthier developing organically.

Want to add color more color to rose garden so we decided to go with the Red Mulch. The color has held and has not wash out or faded. In adding the mulch I have to water less often. That great since we live in California where there is a water shortage. Great product.

Got a great deal at Home Depot for about 25 bags. I'm pleased with the coverage, color and performance.

To be honest with you, I've used this brand & color of mulch for quite some time, but never took the time to write a review....so, here it is :) It does what it promises, it keeps it's color. It says it will stay red for a year, mine has kept it's color even longer. It's also one of those colored mulches that when you open the bag, red dye doesn't spill out everywhere like some other red mulch products. I'm a very satisified customer and have been for quite some time, I wouldn't dream of using anything else but Nature Scapes mulch. I think you'll be satisfied, too...beats the heck out of those other brands of colored mulch :)

This is a great product. I've been using it for several years and the color lasts a solid 6+ months. While my neighbors bark is all grayed and decaying, mine is still a brown/red color and looks fresh. Even through winter the bark holds up. I get a new covering each year so that my garden areas always look good. - another problem avoided here is common with most bagged bark - no critters living in bark delivered to your home by the truckload. Last time we had bark delivered from the local garden store it came with moles and ants that took us months to get rid of. With Scott's bagged bark that won't happen.
