What mixture of seed is this? Sun & shade usually contains Kentucky Blue, red fescue & usually a sort of rye for quick germination. I don't see any mention of the mixture?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hit & Miss; mostly miss Applied and watered exactly as instructed; temps in recommended range. Grass grew in about 1/3 of the areas I used it (after about 4 weeks, not 2 as advertised); nothing at all in the other areas. However, now at least I have a bunch of green-colored weeds in the empty patches because of the special care in watering. I'm sure Scott's will sell me some sort of product for that now. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by all in one patch master is easy to apply, and I like the fact that everything you need is all in one bag. The mulch that is added keeps the birds from eating the seeds, and keeps the new grass moist longer. September 20, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lawn Patch Product Bought on price to fill in dead spots (50% off). Grass not as thick as I'd hoped, but at least it grew. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very easy to grow I planted this to cover a bare patch left by a forsythia bush. I used a bow rake to loosen and even out the soil. I put this down and crumbled it up by hand so that the entire patch was covered by a thin layer, then I soaked it with water. I used the rake to mix it up and wet it down again so the dry under parts were wet as well. Then I just watered it whenever I remembered. A few weeks later, little baby grass shoots started appearing. And now, a few months later, it's the best looking grass patch in my yard. I dont think the bag covered nearly as much as it claimed, but I also probably went overboard with my application. I would never use this for large scale planting, but to repair a patch, it's great. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Read the reviews -- does not work. Do not waste your time. I bought two bags of this product and followed the instructions EXACTLY, including laying down a new layer of topsoil before applying the Patchmaster. Spread evenly to the correct depth and watered twice daily. On top of that, conditions in my area have been IDEAL for seed germination over the past several weeks. I've gotten nothing more than sparse, thin germination. What's worse is that the window for grass seed germination has now passed. UGH! Wish I would have just gone with regular grass seed. If you read the other reviews, you will notice that most of the reviews from 2016 are one-star. Something must have been defective in this year's batch. I chatted with Scotts support and am mailing in my receipt for a refund. October 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work at all Sorry to say I received this product in the mail for free as a product tester. Followed instructions to a 'T' and two week later NOT ONE BLADE OF GRASS SPROUTED. After a lot of drought damage here in Wisconsin I used this product to try and fix some of the most damaged spots. But right next to this I also used a lot of cheap seeds in sort of a seed-over application. Well 2 weeks later and the cheap seeded areas are ready for a first mowing while the Scotts Patchmaster didn't sprout one blade of grass. The worst part is I lost two weeks of the best grass starting time you can get here in Wisconsin, and I had to crawl all over the lawn to do it over using another product. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's all "in the bag." We got very good results from Scotts Patchmaster Sun & Shade Mix in a particularly troublesome shaded area of the lawn on the corner of our house where we have several large trees. We followed the bag instructions--roughed up the soil with rakes beforehand, distributed some fresh topsoil in the area to be planted, distributed the product, and watered daily as per instructions. A nice thick new growth of grass sprang up in a couple of days and it's been proliferating since. The only problem we had was the squirrels took an interest in the shredded paper mulch but not to worry, we deployed our Ortho Scarecrow sprayer and THAT kept the little devils at bay. So thank you, Scotts, for both the Patchmaster and the Ortho Scarecrow, they worked together very well for us! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Most disappointing Scotts product I ever puchased Bought to fill bad patches from very dry summer. Followed all instructions and after 3 weeks of constant watering, all that was left was recycled paper products on my lawn. Tried again mixing with Scotts topsoil mix with the same result. Finally went and bought actual seed and got the desired results. The Patch product was a total waste of money. Would have returned it. but was so sure it was going to work, I trashed the receipt. I work with soccer fields all summer and have done entire fields, so it is not like I am not used to working with lawn products. October 6, 2016
