What mixture of seed is this? Sun & shade usually contains Kentucky Blue, red fescue & usually a sort of rye for quick germination. I don't see any mention of the mixture?

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 388 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very easy to grow I planted this to cover a bare patch left by a forsythia bush. I used a bow rake to loosen and even out the soil. I put this down and crumbled it up by hand so that the entire patch was covered by a thin layer, then I soaked it with water. I used the rake to mix it up and wet it down again so the dry under parts were wet as well. Then I just watered it whenever I remembered. A few weeks later, little baby grass shoots started appearing. And now, a few months later, it's the best looking grass patch in my yard. I dont think the bag covered nearly as much as it claimed, but I also probably went overboard with my application. I would never use this for large scale planting, but to repair a patch, it's great. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Filled in dead spots Prior to using PatchMaster, my backyard had plenty of dead spots from previous homeowners. One spot was 8 ft x 2 ft where their dog had been digging....this area was dirt and rocks. After applying correctly and watering a lot, new grass started within 2 weeks. I think you could see germination after 7 days if you get really close to the lawn. Either way, the grass is strong and healthy this year. Definitely best to apply by hand and rub into the lawn. Can also take the back side of a rake and run over lawn after applying to make sure PatchMaster hits the dirt. Water, Water, Water... Will be using again in the future. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your time! I was attempting to fill in 15-20 bare spots on my lawn and used this product to do so. I put it down over two weeks ago and watered it twice per day. Unfortunately, nothing has happened. Don't waste your time, money, or water on this product. October 20, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by complete garbage followed directions after two weeks nothing. Had some left over so I started over in one area and tried again nothing not one blade. complete garbage. May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Performance I had 2 1/2 weeks to get my lawn ready for Prom pictures I thought I better use this over conventional seeding, etc. We had perfect weather for this and I followed the instructions to a tee. We got creative for the pictures but you can still see the mulch Absolute garbage - wont use Scotts starter & seed products going forward May 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not germinate I put this product down on my lawn 30 days ago and it still has not germinated. I had other spots in my lawn where I put down seed and then put a light coat of topsoil over the seed and it germinated 2 weeks ago. I do however have some nice dark green rings around the Patchmaster as the fertilizer in it made the surrounding grass grow. April 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great for doggy spots I've used this the last two springs (2014 & 2015) and couldn't be happier with the results. The grass immediately surrounding the patio is TRASHED every Spring from dog urine. I place this down in Spring when temperature is cooler (60s and 70s) and water a little bit and it fixes the spots perfectly. You cannot see difference between where original sod was and where patchmaster was placed - it's a pretty good blending. Unfortunately, spring 2016 will be the last season I use this. I'm installing a pet area bc I can't stand them killing the grass every year. Sorry, Scotts... March 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does Not Work Product does not work. Followed directions exactly and after 4 weeks, still no germination. Very disappointed. Waste of money. Now have my doubts about Scott's products. May 2, 2016
