Love my new hedge trimmer. I had a hard time finding one less than 20 inches that was battery operated. I've used it several times, I'd say well over an hour total, and the battery still has a lot of charge left. I do wish it handled larger branches but I'd have to go to a longer length. I'm 64 and only have little use of my right hand and arm so I looked at weight as much as shorter length This one is light weight and easy to use.

Initially, I was skeptical that a 20V trimmer could really compete with its gas & corded counterparts. Boy was I wrong.
From the moment I fired this trimmer up, I was impressed. It has a good feel to it – it’s well balanced & comfortable to hold. For the power that it packs, it’s also relatively light at a little over 6 lbs (including battery).
But while the design & feel of this trimmer is nice, the real story is its performance. This trimmer blew through trimming my hedge, only snagging once (which is a new record for this particular hedge). I then used it to trim back some bushes and small branches in the backyard and was floored by how well it performed against some pretty sturdy limbs. It easily took down branches that were ½ in. in diameter.
The battery life on this trimmer is also excellent. It charges quickly and after 25 minutes of constant use, 3 of 4 battery indicator lights were still lit. At that rate, I can’t ever imagine the battery running out before I was done trimming.
They’ve also come up with a pretty innovative way to mount the charger on the wall & use it to hold the entire trimmer while it charges. That wasn’t a convenient option for me, but I could see that in some garages that could be a plus.
Overall, I’m super impressed with this hedge trimmer. Scotts did a great job with the design of this product - in terms of power, performance & ease of use, you can’t go wrong.

This is such an improvement over the old hedge trimmer I had. This trimmer has no cords to be attached to where they get in the way while cutting. I love the holder. Helps with organization in the garage. Works well on the hedges.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shengjun Love my first hedge trimmer
This is my first hedge trimmer and I wonder why I didn't get one earlier. I never enjoy trimming the brushes and they get overgrown so fast. You feel like you are battling mother nature and you are sure to lose. Yet with this hedge trimmer I kind of look forward to do the chore. The trimmer is very light, only about nine pounds. Comfortable handles. Easy for small people to use. The blade is 18 inches long which is good enough to handle short brushes. I love the battery. It charges in ten minutes or so and lasts for two hours. I have a cordless string trimmer from Black and Decker. It takes half a day to charge the battery and it only lasts for twenty minutes. So overall this is a light and effective trimmer with good battery. Love it.

Works well as advertised. The only difficulty was with the blade guard, a bit difficult to take off and put back on. Purchased because I have the blower which I like as well.

I had purchased a smaller version of this hedge trimmer and it couldn't do the job of trimming my hedges without lots of effort. This 18" trimmer was easy to use and trimmed my hedges in hardly an time at all. Best purchase I have made in a while.
