CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 216 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ratio of components disagrees with Extension Agency My Extension service recommends a product with ratio of 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 for application in both September and November. This product has 32-0-10 so it omits phosphorus in the N-P-K model. Other than that, my only concern is with the high price compared to other comparable products. I still like Scotts products but they cost too much, IMHO. November 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Make Your Lawn Beautiful I tried Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Lawn Fertilizer on my lawn for the first time last fall. I could not believe how thick, green and beautiful the grass looked. My neighbors, most use commercial lawn services asked which service I used. When I told them I used Scott's WinterGuard and applied it myself they couldn't believe the results. What really shocked my neighbors was when Spring arrived this year, most of the lawns on my street looked matted and dead whereas my grass looked vibrant, green and alive. I was just astounded with the results. I just applied Scott's WinterGuard again two weeks ago and my lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. Thank you. October 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great! I have been on Scott's program about two years now and the results makes my lawn the talk of the my street. November 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Burn my lawn Started out applying Scott new lawn fertilizer in early September and the lawn didn't show sign of improvement in terms of becoming greener and more dense. Then, I applied WinterGuard fertilizer about 3 weeks later around late September and the lawn completely turn brown. Did I over fertilize? Or is the lawn becoming dormant now since it is early October now around 50 and 60 degree? Please let me know the real cause to my problem and how I can rectify it. Thank you. October 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better then others I have tried other fertilizers, but 2 things happened. They didn't seem to work as well. And even though they were a little less expensive, you had to use more product for the same coverage, negating the price savings! That's why I use Scott's exclusively. Prior to DIY, I used a well known lawn service to take care of the lawn. Over a period of about 3 years, I watched my lawn deteriorate. So I fired them and now am a DIY'er using nothing but Scotts! My grass is now back in shape! September 30, 2014
