Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It is really a Quick Fix. Recently I had a drainage project, and I had to make over 110 feet of trench about a foot wide. After the drainage project was done, there was no grass to cover over the trench. It would be very expensive to get 110 sq feet of grass sod; plus labour and time. I searched Home Depot, and found this Scotts Quick Fix and wanted to give a try, since I knew that the original St.Augustine grass will grow and cover up the trench in few months. So for the quick fix, I sowed this grass seed and it germinated in about 10 days. Now it looks nice and covered the trench. Thanks Scotts. November 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Who says you have to plant in the Fall? Late into the winter I realized I wanted all of the backyard to be lush green grass, rather than brown, dormant Bermuda Grass. It's late January by this point and my local Home Depot has swapped out all of their annual seed in favor of Spring/Summer varieties by this point. On the top shelf I see this Scotts 3lb QuickFix which is essentially nothing but annual rye grass so I figured i'd give it a shot. Following the typical overseeing procedure, I covered about 1500 sq ft with 3 bags right on January 26th, watered 3 times a day for about 4 minutes, and within 7 days I had young grass growing. Now 3 weeks later I've mowed 2 or 3 times already and have that lush green grass I had hoped for. Not too shabby if you ask me. February 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Planted the seeds on Sunday, placed straw on top to prevent drying out. Watered everyday, checked under the straw Saturday morning, I saw grass growing. I had a brown spot for 2 years. I have tried others methods for grass to grow nothing work. From the expensive stuff to the cheapest stuff. This product is great. I will recommend this to other people. August 1, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Really cheap, so I thought it should be ok Most of the seed lawn care bags are so expensive. I thought I found a cheap solution, and a quick fix. So far nothing has been fixed. I feel I am on second or third bag and there are no fixes. Goes to prove that there is no quick fix or a cheap solution. My yard has some bare spots, and most lawn care folks have told me that I need an all year treatment. I wanted to prove them wrong, so far no luck! September 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The only fast growing turf for temporary lawn with success Applied grass seed earlier this year in bare spots and it grew quickly allowing me to plant more permanent seed. To this day it is still growing and keeping the areas stable while the permanent seed takes root. Have loved Scotts products for over 40 years. October 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Performed as advertised Getting really late in the spring and needed to get some bare spots under trees and along walkways filled in with something. Germinated quickly and filled in the areas. Will overseed with a perennial grass in the fall. June 14, 2012
