Answer:
The Scotts Turf Builder Quick Fix Mix Grass Seed is usually for temporary cover and not designed for permanent lawn. The grass seed contained in the product is largely annual rather than perennial. Air temperature consistently 60-85 degrees with soil temperature consistently 55- 60 degrees is the most appropriate growth condition.

After laying this, I noticed a small patch of grass that was already there turned yellow. Although I have no idea what type of grass it is.

Answer:
Scotts Turf Builder Quick Fix Grass Seed is a mix of 90% annual ryegrass and 10% perennial ryegrass. It is meant for use as a temporary lawn to provide ground cover and erosion control until a new lawn can be planted. We would not recommend planting it in your zoysia lawn.

Turf Builder 3 lb. Quick Fix Mix Grass Seed is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Had several bare spots and followed the directions. Within a few days saw that the seeds were starting to sprout. 2 weeks later it is filling in nicely. I should mention we have someone mow our yard and even though he mowed these areas the grass is still doing well. Very pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who says you have to plant in the Fall? Late into the winter I realized I wanted all of the backyard to be lush green grass, rather than brown, dormant Bermuda Grass. It's late January by this point and my local Home Depot has swapped out all of their annual seed in favor of Spring/Summer varieties by this point. On the top shelf I see this Scotts 3lb QuickFix which is essentially nothing but annual rye grass so I figured i'd give it a shot. Following the typical overseeing procedure, I covered about 1500 sq ft with 3 bags right on January 26th, watered 3 times a day for about 4 minutes, and within 7 days I had young grass growing. Now 3 weeks later I've mowed 2 or 3 times already and have that lush green grass I had hoped for. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a single blade of grass Very disappointed. Used this in a bare spot where I've had grown grass before. Followed instructions to the letter, topsoil, raked in, watered twice a day, after one week not a single blade of grass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I live in a sandy region and I didn't think grass would even grow in my back yard. I bought this grass seed, sprinkled it around, put hay over it and it started growing within a week!! I watered the grass for 30 min every morning and every night using a sprinkler. I'll never use any other brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. I highly recommend this product. Grass grows after 5 days and grow very quick. I picked this one based on the reviews from others and the reviews are correct.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Planted the seeds on Sunday, placed straw on top to prevent drying out. Watered everyday, checked under the straw Saturday morning, I saw grass growing. I had a brown spot for 2 years. I have tried others methods for grass to grow nothing work. From the expensive stuff to the cheapest stuff. This product is great. I will recommend this to other people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is really a Quick Fix. Recently I had a drainage project, and I had to make over 110 feet of trench about a foot wide. After the drainage project was done, there was no grass to cover over the trench. It would be very expensive to get 110 sq feet of grass sod; plus labour and time. I searched Home Depot, and found this Scotts Quick Fix and wanted to give a try, since I knew that the original St.Augustine grass will grow and cover up the trench in few months. So for the quick fix, I sowed this grass seed and it germinated in about 10 days. Now it looks nice and covered the trench. Thanks Scotts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK Grass is coming in but nowhere near as fast as the package suggests. We used this along with some leftover TurfBuilder we had and after 2 weeks, one which rainy straight through, the grass is coming up.
