I over seeded my lawn last fall, and this summer I have a yard infested with crabgrass and other weeds. I reached out to Scotts for questions about the product. No answers to my email. However during a chat session, I was able to get in touch with their rep who promptly initiated a refund, without once defending the product.

Germinates quickly and very good at self repairing. I have used this to do overseeding and a large area of lawn repair and it worked great.

Not the best. I covered it with burlap to keep the pigeons out and watered it faithfully. About one third of the seed never came up.

Purchased a bags of seed after clearing out a section of my yard. The brand and the statement on the bag which states seed thrives in summer conditions was what attracted me to the product. Followed the "simple steps for success" even went a step further and covered the seed in steer Manure. I watered daily twice/three times a day. Out of a 3lb bag I did not get one new blade of grass. 3 weeks later I went out and purchased a cheap bag of seed few bucks. Tilled the dirt and all the seed was in the dirt just as it was when I laid it down. Reseeded and the cheap seed grow in a few days.

Planted new seeds and had grass after a few weeks. Very pleased with the product. In fact, bought and used more last week. Yea!

My grass was in terrible shape. We basically had bare spots with weeds. On april 30th My husband and i spent the whole day on the front lawn. We raked then applied some soil that we purchased from a local business. Then put down seed and fertilizer. afterwards we lightly raked the lawn again to cover them so the birds would not eat the seeds. During the week we put down some stuff to kill the grub worms. P.S i found grub worms all over. It rained for the next three days. There were some days i didn't even water the lawn (i think i watered it twice). On May 7th we saw baby grass sprouting in all the areas we applied. So i laid down some more seeds yesterday since i didn't buy enough seeds the first time. We planted these seeds kind of late and i wasn't sure what to expect so i am overjoyed we had some success. I'm not sure why this didn't work for others.
