The door as pictured looked really nice. The door I got was made of board PIECES on the sides rather than one board. The upright decorative boards are INSIDE the screen so can't be painted on the inside to hide the shabby construction. I'd send it back but it took so long to get here I HAD to use it. There are spaces in the joints I had to fill, which show since I can't paint it. Not at all as pictured. A real disappointment and not worth the money.

This is a stripped down screen door. I wish it would either have parts recommended to go with it or a prompting to order more parts. There's absolutely no hardware included like hinges, door latch or even a sweep. Also there's no screen spline cover included. I can understand why these items are not included, but it put me to research parts. I wish parts would have been tied to the order so I wouldn't have needed to research.

Here are 3 reasons not to buy from this manufacturer:
1. One of the wooden slots was split. This was not due to transport, since the box in which the door was shipped had no dents and the wood splitting was vertical.
2. The joints on the top edge of the door exhibited large gaps at the seam that the manufacturer did not care to fill.
3. The quality of the wood used in the door is questionable: Some of the wood used in the door shows darker, bluish pigmentation, typical of moldy wood or wood that has been improperly handled during the drying process.
4. The wood pieces used in the door frame have sharp contrasts of color, in some cases, atypical of healthy wood. This means this door needs painting to hide its flaws.

Believe the reviews- this screen door is utter trash. It is not the same quality as the ones sold in the store. The frame is made of glued 10" sections of pine that don't even look straight. I returned it and special ordered a door at the store- which was 1/3 the cost! Home Depot should not be selling this product.

Very rough finishes, was already falling apart. Came with one handle!

As several other reviewers have noted, the stock on this is all finger-jointed; this is no problem if you want to paint it. However you will have to remove the screen-tight style screen. These are not really meant to come out and go back in easily, but the side channels are in several segmdnts, and you might be able to get the screen out and back in. I couldn't., and so had to remove the long, rubber gasket that holds the screen in. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get it back in using the original screen, and will have to buy another sheet, press it in and cut it down. Since the door is clearly meant to be painted, why not ship with the screen parts separate and let the buyer assemble them? After all, if I can size and hang a door and put a latch on it, I can probably manage to press in a screen.

Purchased two of these doors for my house. Liked the appearance. They both are well out of the weather under porches. Installed front one first. It was warped almost one quarter inch but decided to live with it. One for the back was also warped. After cutting the bottom and installing the hardware there appeared to be an opening across the top that looked like the door was drooping about three quarters of an inch. Both sides fit evenly. Upon closer inspection the door is what my carpenter called "jacked". Dad the engineer would say skewed. Apparently when the door was laid on something to router the screen fitting the thing was not square. It is obvious that is the case since the upper part of the door is about three quarters narrower on one side than the other. RECOMMEND VERY CLOSE INSPECTION OR PURCHASE SOMETHING ELSE. If I had not already cut it I would have returned it.
