This screen door with a pet door in it seems like a great idea. Why go through the extra work of installing a pet door in your screen door if they make one built that way. But unfortunately the door broke off the hinge within less than a year. It gets a TON of use by both the dog and humans in the house so it's constantly opening and closing. Even if the hinge hadn't broken so quickly I wouldn't purchase this again. The door is plastic and feels cheap. It slams shut and doesn't have an easy close mechanism. Next time I'll buy a good screen door and install a pet door in it myself.

This was for a Client but after ordering 3 different doors and they were all cracked in multiple places we gave up and went with a completely different brand and style door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by melsy203 Great door!!!
I replaced my original screen door with this one and it's fantastic. My 55 lb dog runs in and out all the time and now I don't have to open, close, open, close...lol. My 80 lb dog with really long legs also fits easily but has to crouch just a bit for height. I'll still open the door for him occasionally if he asks, but most of the time he uses it without complaint. I've also seen him come through the doggie door at a full run without any issues, so I don't think it bothers him too much! :-) I didn't have any trouble with the installation and I just transferred the hardware from the old door. I highly recommend this door.

I was very disappointed that the screen door adv. stated that the doggy door had an extra large pet flap. It did not. I am very surprised that our 69 pound Shepard could just barely fit through. Had the handyman not installed it when I was gone, i would have returned it. It was misrepresented and not at all happy.

Came with a crack in the bottom rail, screen partially splined, & untrimmed screening. These were easily fixable but not worth returning then waiting again for a replacement. No structure to the door. Immediately warpped. Too light to close itself. Had to add door grille to be able to push on the door without pushing right through the screen. Doesn't take much more than a breeze to catch the door. Pet door is decent. 27" 80lb Choc Lab has a hard time using the door. Magnetic strip and thick flap are too strong for the cats (all over 15lbs.) I will not buy again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SLOCHK Awesome screen door!
This screen door is very nice, way better than our old metal one. It is sturdy and looks really nice on our house. I was worried about the quality and was very pleased to find there was no need to worry. The dogs also enjoy the ability to come in and out when they want. No more getting up in the middle of the night to let them out. Woo hoo! Will probably get another one for our other door. Can't really say how easy it was to install because we had someone do it for us but it didn't take them long.

Door was glued up 5/8 out of square when it was built and falls another 1/4" when hung. Best part of the door is the dog door. And a door costing this much should not be this bad
