Answer:
yes you could but the reality is they are not very sturdily made from the factory so while you can trim it to your size they are not a well built product to begin with

Answer:
Hi Stoneman30, unfortunately, you can only trim the sides and the top down 3/8th of an inch. You can trim 1/2 inch off the bottom. Too much trimming and the door will not be sturdy. These trim measurements are the recommendations of the manufacture.

I see the over all dimensions of the door, but I was wondering what the width and height of the screen is. See area in red on picture I posted.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product arrived damaged Once again, this product arrived damaged and I had to return it and re-order a new one. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by a total waste of time and a serious waste of money we ordered two screentight doors from H D for our remodeling project o6en 30 meadow and a different model I was hoping that they would be decent serviceable doors...I was totally wrong the 30 inch meadow door came and was warpped and sprung out from top to bottom almost 3/4 of an inch ..no wheres near flat....I had to spend a lot of time and money to try to make what should be a flat piece of wood with a screen in it serviceable...I would never buy this again and urge you to not do so March 13, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty but poorly manufactured While this screen door makes a good first impression out of the box, it is poorly constructed with joints that appear to contain no wood glue so they are unable to support the weight of the door itself. Immediately after hanging it, I had to add a metal brace to the top corner closest to the side on which it is hinged because the weight of the door caused it to sag so that it is no longer square and created a gap at the top between the door and the door frame. If I had it to do over, I would have bought a metal framed screen door even though I don't like the appearance of those. June 26, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Marginal Quality Poor attention to detail - checks in wood, heavy raised grain in areas, separating joint at bottom, small rip in screen, routed-out area for screen frame was very rough, which made removal of the screen frame very difficult. October 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Simple unfinished wood screen door The reviews on this product were accurate in my experience. The door arrived in need of another level of sanding prior to finishing and one of the four joints was broken. I spent some time repairing the joint in order to make the item work. The door has a nice clean look but the quality of the product is not too good and it is relatively expensive. After my work to make the door functional I am satisfied with what I have. June 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uneven corners and twisted The quality of workmanship is poor. When gluing up the pieces, the corners were uneven requiring the carpenter to square up before hanging which resulted in a reduced height. Additionally, the door does not lay flat and it is slightly twisted. August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great door I was leery of ordering a product like this without seeing it first, but it worked out well. The door is well made- sturdy, and arrived quickly. I removed the screen and then the frame (you will have to remove each separately) to paint it before installing, and although it was time consuming, it wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be. I used outdoor grade paint which the wood took beautifully. Now it's installed and looks and functions just as I expected. I am very pleased. April 30, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not put together very well I had to send this door back 3 times! It's made from scrap lumber finger-jointed together from different species of wood and even some blue dyed wood. In all doors I recieved there were chunks of it missing, it was not built square and was warped. I really wanted to stain this door but ended up painting it instead. This would be a nightmare for a do-it-for-yourself project. I would not recommend this door to anyone!!!! May 28, 2011
