Answer:
Model Sf12ST has an auxiliary outlet which can be used for low wattage appliances. This function is only available if the heater is in the off or low heat (1000 watt) setting.

So I checked the specs on this one and it said twenty inches [20"] long. But the cord is only seven or eight inches long. WAY TOO SHORT unless you are installing this directly over a power outlet. That alone made the heater useless for me. In addition, the depth was listed as four inches [4.5" maybe] but with the mounting bracket it is over six inches. [about 6.5"] Too deep to fix where I wanted it. I could not use it, so I returned it. [Absolutely NO problem there! Really good service.] I will look for a thinner heater with a longer cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good heat Heats the room pretty quickly by cycling as much lukewarm air (48C air output) as it can in a short period of time. pretty safe for children because of the high air volume but low heat output. The minimal amount of electronics is a good thing, meaning less things to break down. I sometimes hooked it up to a high wattage computer powerbar because I didn't have an open outlet and used the wall bracket as a stand for it, slightly elevated upwards. hooked up to a separate power meter 1300watts on high and 850 on "thermo flow" mode. best of all it's entirely made in Canada, who else would know about cold weather eh?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BATHROOM HEATER We bought our first Seabreeze heater in the Home Depot store last year, but couldn't find another when we decided to add more comfort to our master bathroom. Fortunately, we found it on-line and must say we love the heater! It installs readily over the electrical outlet. It is easy to operate, and is actually "smart" as the heater automcaically decides at which heat setting to operate. Once the temperature has been established we never have to adjust the thermostat again. We love it, as it operates very quiety, is energy saving and is even manufactured in Canada!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from very short cord - for 'off-the-wall' usage only Very short cord - for 'off-the-wall' usage only. If you are OK with that - the 20$ discount price for the Canadian product is better than can be imagined. For me the short cord is unfortunately a deal breaker.
