Moels SF12ST, Sf12TA and Sf14TAheaters are designed for bathroom use, as they are affixed to the electrical outlet off the floor, away from moisture, which could casue electrical malfunction.

It has a plastic adapter that plugs into the outlet and the heater hangs on the adapter. The heater does have a short cord that plugs into the outlet also, so both sockets on a duplex receptacle will be used. As far as being flush to the wall, no; it winds up being about 3/4 of an inch or so from the actual wall surface.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Really Well I bought this little heater to replace a different brand, but very similar heater that recently failed after 16 years. This new one has 2 heat wattage settings, which is a plus over my original heater. It works great plugged into a wall outlet. The wall outlet to which it is plugged into is at "light switch" height. You must have enough clearance from the heater to anything like a medicine cabinet door that might swing into the heater and therefore not be able to fully open the door or not at all. I use it in the Winter as an auxiliary source of heat in my 7X7 foot basement bathroom, and it has no problem whatsoever in warming the room up quickly and maintaining the temperature. It is pretty quiet too, but not silent. It does have a 2 bladed fan, although the description does not mention it as I remember, so I would not really call it a Convection heater (it blows the warm air into the room), I have only used it for a few weeks so far, and the build quality looks very similar to what I had before, so hopefully it will last at least several years as well. I would definitely recommend this fan. April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A Nightmare On Steroids This product arrived without the proper hardware to install it successfully! Mounting device lacked rubber mounts, and screws, which were NOT included, and are definitely needed in order to facilitate proper wall mounting. The vendor was contacted on five separate occasions. The parts manager who promised to rectify the issue failed to do so each time. If I were Home Depot, I would discontinue doing business with this vendor! November 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It’s a Dogs Life I am getting married in April, last Sept, my future wife and myself purchased a house together, unfortunately my future wife is allergic to animals so one of my family members was left out in the cold, so off to the shop I went and built a dog house fit for a king. It has 2” SM insulation on the floor, walls and ceiling, I installed a heat lamp to ward of arthritis to keep him warm in and out, and then I installed a Seabreeze, Off The Wall Cord Free Bed/Bathroom Heater Equipped W/Thermaflo. It does the job perfectly, it is very quiet, and the added “fan only” option keeps the air flowing during the summer. Perfect unit for the job. We call it the dog condo; he is the king in the neighborhood. Have a great day Ron March 20, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent energy efficient heater Off the Wall heater was easy to install --- it took only minutes to open up the carton, read the instructions and mount the mounting bracket, and the cord free heater over the electrical outlet in my bathroom. The heater functions better than expected, and improved the comfort level in my drafty bathroom immensely. It is whisper quiet, too, I'm thrilled to be able to purchase an energy saving heater fan that lives up to its "promo". The HUGE bonus is that the heater is Canadian manufactured! January 17, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great heater for the price It mounts to the wall outlet very easily, It comes with a plastic locking device that snaps the mounting plate in place. I used two screws to fasten it more securely to the wall. It hangs on the mounting plate so you can easily remove it if you need to. As far as heat it works very well even at a lower setting. We have a very drafty cold hallway that tends to cool down a portion of the house. I have tried several other heaters but none could keep this hallway warm. This one worked and we are very satisfied. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Basement Blues This product is great! Having recently finished the basement areas were chilly despite the furnace especially the bedroom and pool table area. I puchased 2 of these heaters installed them in seconds and they are perfect! What a great idea. Bigger than I thought they would be (which is even better) they look and function like a regular wall heater but with no hassle of installation! Highly recommended. May 3, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good little heater Heater was easy to install and keeps my entryway above freezing quite effectively. We heat the rest of the house with a pellet stove but have a short section of hot water baseboard that is in our entryway that is now unheated. The heater works well with its temperature control and cycles when heat is needed well. Wish it were made of more durable material, but so far has been just what I needed. December 4, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by easy to install, output heat less than expected, flimsy mount It was quite easy to install (I did not have outlet available where I installed this and added timer to new outlet.) The heat output isn't quite what I had hoped for (I think my 1500 watt disc heater is quite a lot higher output.) The mount does work, but seems flimsy and is easy to fail on bumping unit. I may modify to have a bar clamp the mount with outlet plate cover screw. Price is right. January 31, 2012
