Just bought this fan and I am very impressed with the performance --- powerful air delivery, quiet operation and energy efficient. The fan came fully assembled and was put into use within minutes. We pointed the fan vertically (towards the ceiling) as described in the instructions and the air on the whole main floor of our house seemed to become active.
The strong air flow will be greatly appreciated once we have to endure the summer heat, and we expect it will significantly reduce our AC costs.
This great product is actually manufactured in Canada, so we are very pleased to buy North American

Impressive! This fan blows a lot of air! It's a nice design, small size. Very versatile. This would be a great fan for the garage, attic, basement.. etc.
The fan pushes more than a whopping 11K CFM! and uses less energy than a 100 watt standard bulb. I'm quite amazed at how much air this fan pushes and how quietly it does it. It's not like those other HV fans that use brute force (strong electric motors and huge pitched blades with tons of surface area). This one has 5 blades with a special aerodynamic design. The housing of the fan also increases its effectiveness. From the back with the grill off you'll notice it does look a bit like a jet engine... that's by design.
Not for use in windows, but you can still blow air out or pull air in if it's near a window. This fan does a great job of keeping my attic cool... The less I have to run the window a/c to help the house a/c keep this room cool, the better.
Overall, it's a bit pricey, but worth it over time. Uses far less energy to push a ton of air. Compare the specs of this fan with similar.. you'll find it's smaller, lighter, and more energy efficient than the other HV fans. Oh.. and it's SUPER quiet.. even on high!
-High Tech design lets this fan use less energy to push a ton of air
-11,000 + CFM
-Not too big, can be put almost anywhere. (12" blades)
-Controls on the nose of the fan
-Wall bracket and Pedestal options
-High Tech price
-Controls on the nose of the fan
-Wall mount / pedestal not included

A nice quiet fan that moves quite a bit of air. Much of the air it moves comes from the venturi effect where the air coming out of the front of the fan picks up more air as it moves along for a good 10-20 feet. Great for moving air from one room to another (say from a room with a window ac to another or from a room on the shady side of the house to one on the sunny side) but not so great in a window.
The real problem though is it just does not last. Mine lasted just about 3 years until the bearings on the motor failed. First it started "grumbling" and slowing down and then it just stopped. I only used it for a few hours a day for a few months per year. Say 4 hours a day for about 80 days a year so it lasted a bit less than 1000 hours of run time. I've had other cheaper fans last much longer.
