Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be used on an in interior exposed brick wall? & will it change the appearance of the brick after application?

Asked by: mike
I have used this product on all different surfaces. I've had no problems with it changing color on any painted surface. If you are using it for a primer, why not use a primer. If using it for a water sealer,I dont't know if it will work for that.

does wood has to be completely dry before appling

Asked by: thunder
For best results, yes. If there is excess moisture in the wood, it will be trapped by the sealer and show up as cloudy areas under the sealer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great both indoors and outdoors I'm extremely happy with this product. It was originally purchased for outdoor concrete, but the label said it was good for both in and outdoors. So I used it indoors and it worked just as good as stuff I've used in the past for twice the price. I installed it with a garden sprayer and "backrolled" it with a mop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product This product goes on milky but dries clear. It really seals the wood and helps save me money because I use less paint. After I did apply paint over the Seal Krete, the paint job looked more even. Great product but wish the carried it in their store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice sealant this product worked well for exactly what I wanted, sealing flagstone. easy to apply, dried promptly and worked very well, especially after 2 coats. not so good on concrete but that material is so much more porous.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beads up...but doesn't waterproof that well I used this product on newly poured concrete cured for 30+ days. I cleaned the concrete with a soft brush and very light soap (in water) and rinsed it very well. I applied the product about 36 hours later when the concrete was comp0letely dry and gave it a good sweep right before applying the sealer. I applied the sealer using a tank sprayer but I brushed over it with a paint brush to make sure it was evenly applied and I applied a thick layer for each coat. I applied 2 coats and waited about 4 hours after the first coat to apply the second coat (yes, the first coat was completely dry when I applied the second coat). Problem is, now when I apply water to my "sealed" concrete (or after it rains), the water does in fact bead up, however, after about 1-2 hours, the beaded/standing water starts to penetrate through the sealer and into the concrete. So what you get is concrete that has a bunch of wet spots on it. These wet spots can take 1-4 days do dry up depending on temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, etc. because those spots are actually under the sealer. Since those wet spots take so long to dry up since the water is now under the sealer, I am worried that this may actually aid in degrading the concrete rather than protecting it. While I am going to give it another 1 or 2 coats to see it that fixes the problem, I have my doubts. However, even if it does solve the problem, having to put down 3-4 coats (or who knows, maybe even more!) becomes a costly endeavor. Also, if I do put more coats down, I can't wash the concrete because it will stay wet for too long if want to apply the sealer the next day. I can only sweep it very well and hope for the best. Because of this, I would have recommend looking into some other sealer product, unfortunately.
