The gloss is very subtle. It’s more visible after a rain. All in all, I am very pleased with this product.

Answer:
You probably will not see a difference. I have used this product and I would recommend only use if your patio is covered or you get very little rain and snow. The elements will eventually wear it out.

Answer:
Dear cotmhg,
Clear-Seal will add depth to the paver which is more pronounced on darker pavers than on lighter colors. It does enhance color, not change it. We have SEAL-KRETE technical representatives available to answer any questions you might have during the process. You may call 800-323-7357. Thank you!

OK for indoor fireplace brick and mortar??

This question is from 1 gal. Satin Clear Seal Concrete Protective Sealer
Asked by
New England

May 28, 2014
I just cleaned a very dirty 50+ year old fireplace face. I'd like to seal this to prevent the brick and mortar from absorbing the dust, soot and etc. and hopefully preserve and enhance (with a slight semi gloss look?# the surface. This will NOT be applied to the inside of the fireplace - or to the rear back of fireplace. #i.e. not anywhere where it gets fire contact or hotter than OK to still touch when warm). I plan on ONLY coating the front of the fireplace and brick floor directly in front of it - ONLY.

Is this OK for this purpose - or perhaps another better product ????

Thanks All!

I am not a professional, but not sure why you would need this product for the indoors. Check other less expensive products and make sure it states safe for indoors.
You may want to look for something that is used for granite counter tops. That would be safe for the in doors.

Answer:
Hi Canufixit,
Yes, you can use this for the front of the fireplace, and nothing that is in direct contact with the heat as you stated.
Just be sure the facing is clean and no loose particles are present, then you can apply this sealer with no issues.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible results with Clear-Seal I purchased a gallon of this sealer for my front stamped concrete sidewalk in October 2015. I thought it was wonderful! It was reasonably priced, easy to apply, and looked great. I was hoping it would last more than the 3 year life of other concrete sealers I had used. It lasted about 3 months before it began to flake off. My front sidewalk that's in the sun, looks like it has the measles now, (9 months later). The flaking is random throughout the sunny portion of the sidewalk, and keeps getting worse. I'm going to have to work hard to clean up the coating surface and find a better quality product. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sealing precast pool coping I had 50 23x10 inch cement pool coping made for around my pool Sealent went on white then dried clear Easy to brush on Iput two coats on and only used 1/4 of can September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! I spent a great deal of time and energy in doing a custom paint job on my laundry room floor. It looks like ceramic tile. I wanted a way to seal it so my hard work wouldn't be damaged. I ordered this product and it looks beautiful and my floor is now more durable. It was so easy to apply. I used 2 coats. I attempted to move things back into the room because it felt like it was dry. Big mistake. I had to recoat a small area. I gave the room the full 72 hours to dry and it's now as hard as a rock. I would highly recommend this product. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best we have found!! I think this is what the builder used on our decorative concrete. Used something else the first time we sealed it.....which was terrible, took forever to dry. This product is the best!! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product The product is easy to use and goes on smoothly. My basement floor looks terrific. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excelent product. This is a great cement sealer. I used it on the cement patio around my pool. This is much easier to apply with a sprayer. A roller and brush will take forever. June 21, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for the price! My husband and I did an Ardex Feather Finish concrete overlay to our counters about a month ago, and we used this to seal it. 3 coats later and it has held up fairly well. It's excellent at protecting against water! Scratches show up fairly easy from everyday use and oil stains don't come out, if left on the surface for longer than a minute or so, but over all, it worked for us. Especially price-wise!
