Customer Reviews

281 GraniteFX 2 gal. Gulf Shore Decorative Concrete Coating is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wow, really surprised... So, I'm painting my concrete steps (2 sets) and a stucco retaining wall, and I've been researching and looking at what the best aesthetically pleasing thing I could do to make them look as nice as possible without having to veneer them. I kept coming back to this product and watched their YouTube videos and even though I wasn't able to find a review explaining what it really is your getting and what it looks like, I decided to pull the trigger and buy it. So what you get it one gallon of texture acrylic paint and one gallon of clear topcoat sealer which has a little bit of little specs of black "rock" that are between a grain of salt and 1/32". There is perhaps between 1/4 cup to a half a cup of this this in the entire gallon. Now this clear sealer is very slippery and the little specs is rough when you run your hand on it, but not bad when you walk bare foot on it. I would not suggest putting this on a walkway in a climate where it snows, the little specs were coming off pretty easy well after 24 hours of application where it'd be like walking on ice anytime if got wet, let alone in the winter after shoveling. So the stone look is from the texture paint and the clear sealer with little black bits is to make it look like granite. You can replicate everything this kit has with any color you want instead of the 4 they offer by getting any brand and type of paint you want and by mixing in paint texture additive for a few dollars per gallon and if you still want those little bits of rock stuck on the surface, get some clear sealer and throw in some dirt found in home depots parking lot - all for less and hundreds of more options (brand of paint, type of paint, paint finish, heaviness of texture, paint color, sealer brand, sealer type, sealer finish, etc).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Used the product on covered patio floor in Summer, 2011 and was extremely satisfied. Still looks great. Bought the same product in 2012 to extend the look onto the sidewalk surrounding the pool and has peeled off and looks terrible. Must power wash this summer to remove and try something else. Very disappointed.
