I have four hot tire marks from my pickup in the garage. In the past I used a clear, water based sealer over them. Now I would like to remove them from the floor before putting on a new sealer. I just power washed the floor, but those marks did not lighten or come off at all. Is this the right product for this chore?

Answer:
If oil is fresh and hasn't set in as a stain the best product for removing oil that I've found is Purple Power, pour it on, swish around with broom and wash away.

No. We do not recommend it on any surface other than bare concrete as it may leave a white ring on colored surfaces.

Answer:
While it is possible that it would work on teak oil stains, we do not have any test data for oils other than automotive and can't speak to the effectiveness of Oil Stain Remover on other stains.

Answer:
Dear Andrew,
Oil Stain Remover is meant for spot treatments. Do not use on asphalt or painted, stained
or sealed concrete surfaces. Do not use in wet or rainy conditions. Oil Stain Remover may cause discoloration on some surfaces – test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to oil stain. Thank you!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seal Krete Oil Stain Remover I had a large oil spill on our cement driveway 2 weeks ago. This product took it all out. I used it on old oil spills and it did not work. The trick is to pour this on and immediately scrub it with a brush. Then let it set and dry and wash it off. I have no idea why Home Depot does not stock this in their stores, you have to order it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff It got most of the opil out of my driveway although not all. It is as good or better than anything else I've tried. June 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by it didn't work power steering fluid leak... followed the directions... it may have lighten the stain a little... May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works well when used well a key to getting the best results is to scrub the stain after application of OSR while it is still wet and then let it dry thoroughly before brushing and rinsing it off. The OSR must come in contact with the oil so it can absorb it while it dries. Once the OSR has pulled the oil into suspension and dried, the dried suspension can be brushed and washed away. I have been using it for years with great results. January 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed I bought two bottles of this After reading mostly good reviews. I had a large motor oil stain that was a week old. I had used some sawdust on it to soak up the main part and washed it off with water when the spill occurred. After getting the product about 7 days after the spill, I applied the first application following the directions on the bottle and after the first application, I couldn't see a difference. I tried a second application and seen a slight change in how dark the stain was, but I wouldn't say it removed anything. Pretty disappointed after spending that much money for little to no results. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works good but for a small stain This stain remover works well at removing the stain but with it's thick consistency, it is hard to spread it over a surface with many small stains. This would work better for one isolated stain. But a leaking car leaves stains all over the driveway, so this only helped to remove some of the stains in our driveway. February 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great The stuff does what is says. There is still a small area on the carport but that was to be expected. There was a lot of oil and it happened over a year ago. Would recommend this product to anyone. October 13, 2015
