I know it says horizontal surfaces, but I'm looking to also coat a 3 foot vertical surface. Is there a way to carefully do it with minimal rippling?

Answer:
To be clear, I am hoping to apply it to fish culture purposes. So appearance isn't as important as functionality. I'm looking for something that is both waterproof and non-toxic to our fish, and so far this epoxy seems to fit the bill minus the vertical surfaces. Given that appearance is not of great concern, would you still not recommend this product?

Dear Mustang,
In addition to Chris' recommendations, SEAL-KRETE also states the following: Wait 30
days before rinsing or cleaning surface. To avoid premature paint failure, do not use abrasive
cleaners or pressure-washer on surface. Thank you!

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by peeling paint....not good at all. Don't waste your money. I bought 5 gallons of this product and couldn't be more dissatisfied. After only two weeks the paint is peeling up all over the floor. What more can I say? Buyer beware. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product - went on easy and durable I ordered this product on-line and it was shipped to my house within 2 days, just in time to finish my car port project. The sealer went on easy, adhered to the concrete well, and looks very sharp! I added the recommended sealant as well as paint flakes which turned out great. Make sure to follow the direction on weather conditions, if the weather is going to be below 50 F over the next 24 hours do not install. March 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT ! ! ! I decided to paint my basement floor. I purchased this product because of 'epoxy' in the name - I did not want a multi-part epoxy so this product sounded like a good solution and a good value. I read the label and thoroughly cleaned my basement floor; etched it with acid; rinsed; and pressure washed as the directions stated. I then applied 3 coats over 3 days with an additional day for drying. Over the next week I noticed some flaking and re-painted those areas, however, it just continues to get worse. Any time that water is spilled, or if I even wet mop an area, within a day or so that area flakes off. My floor looks terrible! This is not how a floor paint, especially an epoxy, should work. (NOTE: Picture shows one area. There are at least 20 of these areas) I called Home Depot on-line customer service and they said that even though I could ONLY buy this product on-line that I had to go to a local store to seek help. I did so. I went to the Parksburg, PA store and spoke with Dave the manager. He said he would look into it and get back to me. He suggested that I did not sufficiently prepare the floor. I told him about the acid washing and pressure wash rinse. He looked me in the eye and told me that he would research the issue and get back to me. Six weeks later he has not called me back. I bought through Home Depot because I love them and have always had a positive experience with them so this response makes no sense. At the very least I expected a refund and a recommendation to [maybe] apply a sealant after repainting but I have no satisfaction on this issue to date. Do not buy this product. October 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great Prep time took about three days pressure wash ,etch and bonding, painting only a day looks great covered very well less money than some other paints would use again. September 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for the price. Great product I've used for many years with success. I only wish it was a bit harder such that it didn't display tire marks so prevalently. Considering the price and the ability to cover well, it's still a great bargain when compared to the super-expensive 2-part alternatives. January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great when done. There was no paint on this 100 year floor, we had to put on 2 coats to caver. Great caverage. May 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased with Epoxy paint Seal Krete After 2 months of researching and numerous calls to Seal Kerete tech support getting info on proper way to profile a tightly smooth trowel garage floor I rolled the first light coat of Epoxy paint today. I de-greased the floor where needed with several products and applied 4 half gallons of Seal Krete Clean and Etch which etched the slab giving it a sandpaper feel. Used a gallon of Behr Clean/Etch products also but it foamed so bad that spend 1-2 hours rinsing and rinsing! Should of stayed with the SK Clean & Etch . We've had unbelievable rain in Texas the past 2 months and wasted many days for the slab to completely dry out several days after. I did apply the SK LockDown primer b/c the concrete slab has many uneven ares with big cracks which I did patch first. The price, ease of use and no odor or low VOC was important. Will apply second coat tomorrow while we r having mid 60's temp low humidity less 50% which is crucial in epoxy paint adhering to floor. Not looking for a JayLeno garage but so very pleased with even the looks of the first coat applied. if you have the funds get your garage floor grinded or shot blasted by a pro so avoiding the acid washingrinsing etc, but my funds were limited and didn't allow that. Found tech support at Seal Krete to be very helpful and so patient with my many questions during this whole process! December 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BAD PRODUCT Applied paint to concrete floor which had cured for 60 days. Paint looked good going on but 2 days later it started comming up all over, this paint did not appear to be epoxy coating. May 26, 2015
