Answer:
Thank you for the question, we do not suggest mounting this on the suction side of the pump. This should be mounted on the pressure side of the well system, typically mounted before or after the pressure tank.

I had the bowl crack after a couple months and therefore didn't have any water. You could also build in a 'bypass' if you have room. Depending on your sediment you may have to purchase a smaller micron filter. I've been using a 500. You can go to the manufacturers' website for sizing information. Hope this helps. Don't forget to install a cold water grounding jumper across the filter to maintain your electrical ground. Good luck. Read Less

Answer:
Thank you for the question, the filter that comes with the system is the 100 mesh. There are other size filters available like the 30,40 and the 60 mesh filter that have bigger openings which could help increase the flow slightly in some systems.

Yes, it comes with 100 mesh which will stop small sand particles. The larger the mesh number the finer it is.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I have 2 other filters just like it. I am satisfied with the product Simple and works very well. I like the cleaning feature. August 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Working great I bought this as a prefilter for my whole house filter to save wear and tear on the filters. Now I don't have to replace the filter as often. The only problem I had was the bowl broke at the threads after just a couple months. I had to replace the screen with a smaller micron because of the sediment from my well. The sediment was still getting through. After the 3rd cleaning the bowl kept leaking so I tightened it until it quit then it cracked so I had to get another. I hope this one lasts longer. You're only supposed to have to back flush but it didn't work as well as pulling it and brushing it. Maybe its not made to take off very often. Don't know. We'll see how the 2nd one works. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sediment filter. Easy to install , smart and simple. I use it for irrigation application to protect my control valves . From sediment malfunctions . October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent high flow particulate filter/separator - very easy to clean Fast installation, easy to service, clear filter cover allows quick inspection - works very well. Several optional screen sizes are available if tighter filtering or greater flow is desired. October 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not same as pictured I bought one before and after a years use a piece cracked. Bought this one so I can have a replacement part only they changed the product they ship but still use the old picture. So I thought I was buying what I bought before but got another brand which the parts are not interchangeable. Picture should represent the actual product. October 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install The valve on the bottom allows you to flush out the filter without turning off the water. All the plastic are thick and heavy duty. You only have to disassemble the filter to lightly brush off sediment when flushing does not work. December 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by design changed had to modify this to get it to fit. Not as pictured January 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product product did exactly what it was purchased for. easy installation. December 30, 2012
