Answer:
What kind of 16 do you have? Most 15 gauge nailers have angled nails due to the size of the nail head. I wouldn't do it. However I used the recommended nails in this nailer and it misfired so often and jammed I took it back. Get the Porter Cable. Use recommended nails per the gun. Do not mix match sizes. Lengths, yes the lengths can change, there's a variety of lengths.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not dependable, Misfires too often and jams as well. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. Used it for four days. It misfired multiple times the first day. By day four it was misfiring, jamming with multiple nails and the firing pin was having difficultly retracting. I've used other brands with more success. I returned this product on day five. I've been using framing and finish nailers for 20+ years. July 2, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by keeps jamming The first one that I bought looked like someone had already used. Fingerprints on the tool and noticed some sawdust. I returned it and got a new one wrapped in plastic. This one is junk, it keeps jamming. I was thinking maybe its a non pro version designed for big box stores but after reading the reviews im not sure whats going on. The nails are senco brand as well. Im going to take it back because im not satisfied. April 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best buy for a pro. Gun is perfect for driving nails in to hard materials. March 8, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad The safety tip is to big you can't get it in to tight spaces. March 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Couldn't be happier Received this as a gift so I wasn't sure about the value until I just now saw the price and I'm very surprised that its so inexpensive compared to other quality nail guns. I was surprised at how light weight this gun is and wondered if that negatively effect its performance. It did not at all. I was very impressed with how accurately the adjustments were when it came to depth. Since owning this gun I've decided to look for Senco when wanting to purchase other nail guns. I'll let you know what I think of them after I do. January 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great finish nailer Ive had a few Senco guns over the years and they make some of the best guns on the market with this being no exception. Only 2 small gripes : 1. The non marking pad on the tip does not really stay on and is easily lost. Which they obviously know because it comes with a extra. 2. It comes with a dinky hook that clips on to your belt/pants/anything but the clip is very weak and when pulling the gun off the hook you therefore pull the clip off to. Compared to the 18 gauge model which has a built in clip that I prefer. September 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable Works great, very reliable. 15 gauge has lots of holding power for facia, soffit and even hanging hollow core doors. This senco has only jammed on me a couple of times; when I had the pressure dialed way down for shooting into thin breadboard paneling on a porch ceiling. Senco can handle lower pressure than the fussy porter cable 15 I used to run. Oil-less is nice for stain grade situations. Compatible nails are readily available at both big box stores.
