Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by take it back went to pick up everything ordered was there waiting for me I had taken a car so the hose I ordered was to big, no problem the guy brought it back into store while I went for truck so I had safe in car took to factory and tried to unlock using supplied instructions no way to open called safe maker on help line they talked me thru it and still no good was told by them to return safe to store when I did no problem in return but when I went to get an exchange it looked like they were going to give me another returned safe so I just took money back and later purchased another model online and that arrived early and no problems to report June 17, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Its as Ok safe... I received a $75 home depot gift card for Christmas, I decided it was time to get a safe for a few things. Its a pretty big sized unit, I put year books, pictures, My high school Diploma and a few other important documents / electronics in there. The first unit i bought was to small (1.23 CF) this current one i got was almost double that and perfect in size. It came with easy to read instructions, keys and the mounting hardware. I had it unboxed and installed in less than a hour. I have 2 complaints, The first being is the key does not bypass the lock. You have to have the safe unlocked and type in the code to unlock it. Not to mention, the key must stay in the lock cylinder to keep it "unlocked" I personally dont like this. I think if you forget your code or the key pad malfunctions, you should be able to unlock the safe with the key. My second complaint is the turn handle feels to be very cheap, almost plastic. I tried to open the safe without entering the code, i turned the handle almost 90 degrees after the handle stopped. It felt like I broke something or stripped a gear on the inside. I think im going to exchange my current one for a different one just to see if I have a "fluke" build. Over all its decent, and by no means perfect. In the future I might upgrade to a nicer one.
