Found this in Walmart, I am NEW to gun ownership and wanted something that was secure and simple to operate and wasn't going to break the bank, this has fitted the bill perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by cementmixer Great buy. Liked so much I just ordered a second one.
This safe was much heavier than I expected. The push button access is quick and reliable. I am able to open this in complete darkness due to the raised "stub" on the first push button. I like how the door pops open when the correct code is entered. I like that the combination is user programmable. I like that fact that a back up key is provided should the battery ever be dead. Very will built.
Some reviews are saying this can be broken into by theives. At this price, understand this product is not intended to be a high security "SAFE" that even the best safe cracker in the world cannot break into. BUT it is a very well built safe that when mounted at home or in your vehicle will do what I purchased it for. To keep unwanted hands from gaining quick access to the contents. If someone uses a prybar and a sledge hammer, they are going to get it. For that kind of security you would have to spend much much more.
I'm very happy with this purchase.
In addition, Home Depot has the best price I could find and shipping was free too. I liked this one so much, I just ordered another.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Danwhi00 Great price and design.
I had been looking at other pistol safes, then thought to look at Sentry, who's documents cases I've used for years. The design and features for the price, were the best I found.

I've had this safe for about 5 months now, the batteries are going strong. I open this safe everyday @ least two times a day, sometimes more and have yet to change the batteries. When ever the safe is opened the LED flashes green or red depending on the battery's level of power... Mine is still green :), I love how the hydraulic strut quietly (not silently) but still very quietly opens the safes door for easy access.
The button "mash" takes a bit getting used to but after a few times of practice it's pretty much not a problem, one thing is the buttons cannot be pressed as fast as a person can "peck" at them however I have found that using your thumb for a solid press is accepted as a confirmed key press by means of the LED lighting up.... With this said I still am able to open the safe using my 6 "digit" combination in less than
3 seconds, I say "digit" because the safe is not labeled visually by means of numbers.
The safe has a beveled edge so that your everyday thief cannot pry it open using a simple screw driver, given time a would be thief can figure out the combination especially if you do not secure the safe to the floor or wall and they are able to steal the safe, take it home, and peck at the buttons in numerical order.
SECURE your safe!!!!
While I was @ Home Depot I also purchased 4 large lag bolts, drilled four holes in four corners of the safe (I did not use the lag bolts that came with the safe" they seemed a bit too "dinky" to me for the security of my fire arm) and secured it to the floor supports in my closet.
I love how the LED's light up with the press of any button in a cool blue illumination.
Mind you that if you program a 6 digit combination, the safe requires a total of 7 buttons to be depressed, one press to "wake up the electronics" and the rest of the 6 for the combination.
Only one pistol and two mags can fit into this safe, but they fit comfortably.
I definitely didn't expect the safe to be as hefty as it is, that little sucker has got some weight to it, sentry definitely didn't skimp on the steel required to construct it.
If your in the market for a single pistol safe, definitely pick this one up, you won't be disappointed, I've got two of them, one for my Glock 21, and one for my wifies Glock 26.
