This is the best mop for cleaning ceramic tile. It heats up very quickly and deep cleans my tile in the kitchen and bathroom. I wish the water chamber popped off for filling and draining.

Easy assembly, fast steam, and well built. Not too heavy, and really like the see-through water container.

After a friend recommended a Hoover Floormate Deluxe, I did some research before heading to 3 different stores to look at steam mops in person. The sales lady at Home Depot sold me on trying the Shark at this great price of $48, even though it wasn't on my top 3 list.
I like the extended handle length since I'm a little taller than the average woman
It is lightweight and easy to assemble with no tools
The cord was long enough to do an average size room
The handle was comfortable in my hand
It's easy to hear the steam coming out when you push the mop forward
The instructions say it only takes 30 seconds to heat up, but I found it took at least 5 minutes for enough steam to dampen the cloth mop head.
I knew my floors were in need of a good mopping but the mop head only picked up some light - medium amounts of dirt.
The mop does nothing for cleaning the grout.
If I only needed something to do light surface cleaning and wanted something that lasted longer than a wet pad on my Swiffer, this might work. But I want a steam mop that will really clean the uneven surfaces of both tile and wood floors and this little Shark doesn't do that.
On a side note, my friend let me borrow her Hoover Floormate Deluxe today. This machine has a clean and dirty water tank so you can really see how dirty your floors are. The dirty tank had dark gray water after cleaning the same surfaces I cleaned yesterday with the Shark. That's the kind of clean I want! However, the Hoover is heavier, took me longer than mopping does, dripped too much water, and had inconsistent performance on putting down water for cleaning. While I'm happy knowing how much dirt it sucked up, I'm still searching for the "perfect" steam mop for my home.

Here is the main problem with this steam mop. A hose on the inside of the unit which brings the water down to the heater blows off. So I took the unit apart and put the hose back on and it worked ok for a short time. A few days later when I plugged it in to use, the hose blew off as the steam started. To me this is an engineering error. When I checked on u-tube there were several people complaining of the same thing. At the very least the company should offer a credit towards a newer unit.
