The 1/2 in. SharkBite Push-Fit x FNPT Adapter allows you to make a connection to 1/2 in. pipe using a push-fit connection and then gives you a 1/2 in. Female NPT Adapter on the opposite end. SharkBite fittings are the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. SharkBite Fittings are certified for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great to put in, very very hard to take out Goes in very easy with no leaks, no open flame and minimal pipe prep. Problem is when you try and take them out they just do not want to come out. Dry fit my pieces getting ready to solder an elbow. When I tried to remove the Sharkbite so it wouldn't get hot it would not budge. Soldered the elbow anyway and it all worked out fine but these things are supposed to come back off. June 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Plumbing has never been so much fun! My husband and I recently purchased a cabin that was built back in the 1940's, it needed a total gut job down to the studs! Needless to say, that included plumbing. We received several estimates over $2500 to replumb it. We have done traditional plumbing before and knew we could do it ourselves...but it's such a pain! After speaking with an amazing Home Depot Rep about the SharkBite system, we decided to give it a try. It took us less than an hour to replumb the entire bathroom, and another 20 minutes to tie in the kitchen! And it was fun! The initial investment seems expensive, but compared to traditional copper, plus the added expense of a plumber, this was worth it's weight in gold! June 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Every Penny I replaced my shower valve and these worked great. It saved me from having to buy flux, solder, etc. The one thing they don't tell you on the package is if you need to remove them to adjust the pipe you have to buy the removal tool. But it is only like $2. Been using it for about a month now no leaks. January 31, 2012
