The 1/2 in. SharkBite Push-to-Connect Elbow allows you to make a 90-degree connection to any combination of 1/2 in. Copper, CPVC or PEX Pipe. SharkBite fittings are the easiest way to join pipe and do not require soldering, clamps, unions, glue or tools to complete the job. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. SharkBite Fittings are certified for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best thing since sliced bread... The guy who invented these should be given the Nobel prize in plumbing. These adapters make any plumbing job a DIY job. I had to replace the outside faucet in my house that was all soldered copper connections and these made it a 1 hour replacement job. If I didn't cut my finger on the PEX cutting tool, this job would have been no sweat and no blood. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Call a plumber or Sharkbite... A co-worker reviewed photos of the supply line to a a hose bib that needed replacing and suggested Sharkbite products. I decided to put two bibs in place of the one and raise them as the original was only 5 inches from the ground. I built the duplex assembly with copper and sweated the connections. I then cut the supply line, installed a coupler, two elbows and done... oops... not quite yet. The Sharkbite elbow could not support the assembly (it allowed it to rotate), so I attached a board to the house and the assembly to it. Everything is leak free! A plumber would have cost me way over the $50 or so I spent. April 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made a difficult project easy! I detected a leaky pipe in wall! The old soldered joint was leaking, into my basement! I closed the main valve, but it was leaking a slight amount of water. I cut the leaking pipe at the joint, and sanded papered it clean. The Shark Bite was the ONLY option! These pipe fittings are one of the greatest inventions of our time! Thank-You Home Depot for making them available, at reasonable cost! March 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by upgrade is not great This product has just been upgrated and I believe not that well. I've used this product for years. The older version (through now) was easy on/easy off and water tight. The new one has a smaller profile, which looks nice, and is easy on/water tight. But if for any reason you want to take it off, good luck. I struggled with taking several of these off adjacent pex tubes. It is often the case that you will need to remove a tube, eg, if it is too long or if you need to change your configuration for any reason. If you are doing a bigger job, the main reason to spend so much more than the price of crimping is the flexibilty of reomving the connector from the tube without cutting the tube. In sum, you might as well crimp your tubes if you are going to use this solution, which is, for many, not something they'll want to hear. September 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for your job! If you have ever used the plastic ones and tried to remove them, you will always use these. Quality is way more than the cost. Easily removed with the little ring tool they sell for only a few dollars. They can be reused many times and work lik new every time. November 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RePlumbing made easy SharkBite connectors are awesome when you have a house plumbed in copper pipes, but want to gradually switch over to cpvc. February 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I will never use one of these again Do not use these couplings in a place that you could get water damage because, they WILL leak. It took 3 years after installation but the 90 degree fitting I used let go. Luckily I was home when it happened and was able to shut off the main supply before too much damage happened. These are a quick fix, and easy to install, but I won't trust them again. My advice is stick with a soldered joint. March 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by worked like a charm I had a difficult soldering job with copper tubing. the joint wouldn't seal properly so I resorted to using the SharkBite in the hopes it would prevent the soldering. worked beautifully. July 3, 2012
