Size of crimp ring

The I.d. For a 1/2 crimp ring states .500 . The O.D for 1/2 Pex tubing is .625 . How does the crimp ring fit over the pex ?
Asked by: Rjay
It fits. Something tells me that there is a typo or cross information.

how do i use a crimp ring?

Do i need a crimper to conect a crimp ring?
Asked by: steve
Place crimp ring over pex tubing. Insert fitting into pex tubing, could be an elbow, "T" or other fitting. Place crimp tool over ring and compress. There is often a picture of where to place the ring in respect to where the overlap of the fitting inside the tube is but I have put it close to the edge of the tubing without any issues. The clamp tool is pricey but the time and aggravation you save more than makes up for cost.
