Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good price using these to hook up a hot water tank was a breeze the price wasn't bad if you compare to a copper fitting (the price for a copper fitting to hook up to a tank is super inflated because they know you have to buy them) this is only a few dollars more than one fitting and no sodering hooked up my new tank in less than 1/2 hour August 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hot Water Heater supply connectors - Don't Buy! Unfortunately, the chlorine in your water will deteriorate the rubber lining inside the flex hoses after a year or two. Within two years, I had rubber flecks inside a new hot water tank and coming out my bath tub faucet. These cause a problem in plugging up faucet aerators and washing machine supply valves... we had to have a new supply valve installed in our washing machine. I replaced the flex hoses with copper pipe and the problem went away. This has happened to quite a few others...just do an internet search. SharkBite should take this type off the market! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by water heater connector the connector was so simple and easy to use even for a woman April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy hot-water connect & no leaks The SharkBite 1/2 in. x 15 in. stainless steel push fit x FIP flexible water heater connector is a great new way to connect a water-heater or boiler to your home system. The female threaded ends screw onto the nipples from the tank with a bit of teflon tape to prevent sticking or corrosion and the SharkBite ends push right over cleaned and prepared pipes from the hot water inlet and cold water feed. When the water was turned back on, no leaks were detected from the new stainless steel mesh connectors and not even a droplet was released by the push-on ends. The push-on ends will require a special clip (sold separately) to remove. I recommend these SharkBite connectors for both do-it-yourself and professional plumbers. March 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good one and strongly recommend it Not an issue. Used it to connect to my new Gas-water heater (Rheem) that I had installed it recently. The flexibility of this piece makes the connection all the more simpler connecting between two pipes that are not in straight line. February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy fix This item makes instillation very simple. It is a great idea instead of having to get a plumber April 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by black pieces flow out of hot water my bath tab hot water comes with black rubber pieces, and after long time diagnosis, the only possible explanation is that the black rubber pieces come from the Shark bite water heater connector January 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best plumbing product I've used... Had to change out a water heater this weekend and of course, none of the water connections lined up. I didn't really have time to rebuild all the copper and sweat all those connections so I thought I would give these a try, simplest, most effective product I've used on a plumbing project... test fit, cut pipe, sanded burrs and slipped right into place. No leaks... amazing!! October 26, 2015
