Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product works fine I installed this pipe in my home and has been working very well for 3 months now. September 8, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by the 1 in pex was easy to cut but took large bending radius. Over all I was happy with the product. The 1 in gave us the water presure we were looking for at the end of the garden hose. April 24, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too hard to straighten I installed 3/4 PEX and 1/2 PEX during a renovation and the water pressure was noticeably lower, mostly likely due to 1/2 inch PEX connections compared to 1/2 inch copper (which has a wider internal diameter compared to 1/2 pex, particularly at couplings). At $20 less than any other competitors 1" pipe, and free shipping, I figured I'd give it a try. Shipping was fast. However the pipe is incredibly inflexible compared to the previous brand I had used (Appollo) and extremely hard to work with in a tight space (my crawl space). The pipe basically refused to be straightened out, even when I tried bending it straight outside of the crawl space. I ended up giving up 1/2 way and ripping it all out and picking up some Apollo brand 1 inch, which worked great and is much more flexible in tight spaces. It was about $20 more than this brand but well worth the headache. Perhaps this product would work better if it were a 3 man crew with lots of space, and 2 guys holding it taunt and 1 guy installing a clamp or talon every few feet along the joists. However any future installations I'm going with Apollo. A big disappointment in this product, as I absolutely love Sharkbite compression couplings. Those saved me plenty of time during this renovation going from the new PEX pipe to existing copper behind the wall, in the areas I didn't need to change any of the existing plumbing. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Easy To Use I used SharkBite PEX to replace copper line running to my Water Heater. The red and blue colors make it easy to distinguish Hot and Cold lines after install is complete. Using a SharkBite coupling I easily transitioned from Copper to PEX, the PEX is more flexible than copper and easy to work with, it is also a great value at much lower price point. PEX is easy to cut as well and can be done with a PEX Cutter sold at Home Depot. Great product very easy to work with and use for an average DIYer. May 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value PEX is wonderful to work with. This Sharkbite brand pipe is flexible, good quality, and a great value for the money. I was able to install a new water line under my house at a fraction of a cost of hiring a plumber to do it. Even after the install, I still have A LOT of pipe left for future work/repairs. Just make sure to do your research and have the correct tools in place first before you work with PEX pipe. August 6, 2014
