Product Overview

The 3/4 in. SharkBite Slip Tee allows you to add a line into your existing plumbing system. The Slip feature allows up to 2 in. of Copper or CPVC to be removed from a rigid pipe installation. Simply insert the slip coupling on to the pipe and using the SharkBite demount clip to slip the fitting back onto the other end of pipe completing the connection. SharkBite fittings are the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. SharkBite Fittings are certified for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

Customer Questions & Answers

for a 3/4" push to fit slip tee how much needs to be removed. Installation instructions for the 3/4 ball valve indicate 2.25" should be removed.

In a sharkbite video for slip couplings 2" should be removed
Asked by: Tim
As the manufacturer recommends, 2" should be removed. However, be very careful to mark the pipes before inserting into the fitting so you pull back the slip end enough. I learned the hard way that the tee can actually be blocked if the "slip side" pipe isn't pulled back enough. I expected there to be a stop inside, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Installing a mix valve for a utility sink in the laundry room. I need to "tap into" the existing hot and cold water copper pipes and I then want to connect pex to the split to feed to the sink. Can this T accept copper and/or pex without adaptation?
Asked by: Rob
Yes, that T will work. The slip function of the T has to be connected to copper or CPVC only due to the inability to install a PEX stiffener. The top part of the T can then be used to install PEX, copper or CPVC. If you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.
