Under my house on a crawl space.

Drew - SharkBite fittings are rated to 32 Deg F. If using in an area where temperatures will be below that it is recommended that you insulate the pipe and fittings to avoid freezing. Thank you for your interest in our products.

No these are for water only. Our local building code requires threaded pipe and pipe dope for all types of gas.

I used this fitting recently as part of a new plumbing assembly in my laundry room. I used PEX piping and had no leaks. Instructions say the tubing should go in an inch, I found they go in about .8" or so. Although a bit pricey, these fittings and PEX made easy work. It took me an hour and a half to complete the job. From the photo, all I had left was securing the drop ear elbows for the clothes washer valves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from this was my first use a a SharkBite Push-to-Connect connector. Based on the reviews and sales, I... this was my first use a a SharkBite Push-to-Connect connector. Based on the reviews and sales, I'm sure the products work as intended, but my first attempt had leaks at all three openings. I assume it was user error. None-the-less, I reverted back to old fashion solder joints and used compression fittings where soldering was not appropriate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I have the old poly pipes in my home. I had a leak in a T that had been crimped on. I replaced that T with the same type but it still leaked after a few months. I installed this Shark Bite T and no more leaks! highly recommend for any type of flexible pipe or tubing. Be sure to get a Shark Bite Tubing tool to clean up your edges with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I was doing a plumbing project , installing a new UV light and a house water filter housing and saw the benefits of using Sharkbite products. With all Sharkbite products the pipe inside will spin and I will be able to swivel my UV canister away from the wall and remove it if would need replacement .After installing everything I didn't have enough teflon tape on the threads causing a leak and had to remove the UV unit and yes it did swivel away from its hold down brackets so I could reseal the threads .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not one leak! Replumbing an entire kitchen and bath traditionally with copper and solder, you expect a few leaks during installation, not with SharkBite! Not a single leak! Snaps together like legos, so it's fun too! Having never used this product before, and with just basic instructions from the Home Depot Rep, my husband and I replumbed our entire cabin in under two hours! Worth the initial investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised me... I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical of this T connector, despite the good reviews it had. I found it hard to believe that a push connector could work well on copper and PEX. But I figured I'd give it a try, since it would be the easiest solution for what I needed - I had to tap into an existing copper line. So I simply cut the copper pipe, pushed each end into the connector, pushed the new PEX line into the branch connector, and sure enough, it's held up excellent. Installation couldn't be easier, and there isn't a drop of water leaking from the connector. Well worth the $10 I spent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These SharkBite fittings really work. This is my first experience using SharkBite push-fit fittings. I used this to tie a new PEX line into an existing copper line. No solder or glue- couldn't be easier. I was skeptical at first but I am sold. Cost is higher but for small jobs this is the way to go.
