Product Overview

SharkBite Reclaimed Water PEX is cross-linked polyethylene tubing for gray water, rainwater harvesting and reclaimed water systems only. Manufactured with a purple color background, the tubing meets color code requirements of national and state code bodies to clearly identify reclaimed water lines. SharkBite Reclaimed Water PEX is manufactured and is available in 1/2 in. to 1 in. sizes. A repeating SharkBite imprint pattern provides a visual aid to determine if the tube has been inserted all the way into the SharkBite Push-Fit Fitting. This feature only works if the tubing is cut between the SharkBite imprint pattern. SharkBite Reclaimed Water PEX can be connected with SharkBite push-fit fittings or barbed fittings - providing a variety of connection options for a trouble free installation.

Customer Questions & Answers

i want to run PEX underground how deep should it be buried so that the cold temps do not freeze the pipe and which PEX would you recommend

this is for residential and hot water line
Asked by: PapaJohn
I use this indoor for reclaimed water use running to toilets and washing machine. I don't know if it's rated for outdoor burial use -- good question -- but how deep you'd busy it would depend on the local environment. You want to be below the frost line, which varies by region. Check local codes.
