Customer Questions & Answers

Do I need to use any sort of "hose clamp" on these connections?

Asked by: Newbee
If you don't do much of this and don't want to spend money on a tool you'll rarely use, then just buy the push on ones. No tool needed.

Yes, this item is lead-free along with all other brass products that SharkBite sells. As of January 4th per NSF 372, brass products intended for potable water distribution must meet the lead free standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly Needed to add a ½" service line off my ¾" feeder line. These are the best to use and in years I've never had a single leak with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PEX reducer TEE Just the right part for connecting my water heater's cold water supply pipe to the Shark Bite quarter turn shut off valve feeding my humidifier. The TEE fit the 3/4" straight through line to the water heater and the 1/2" branch was right for the ball valve. Like all PEX fittings you need the right tools and take care with crimping on the tubing. Not at all hard but care is required. No leaks at all, since I turned the water on so I'm confident this is a good, permanent fix.
