SharkBite PEX radiant heat systems provide safe, energy-efficient heating options. In a radiant heat system, heated water is distributed through PEX tubing which is installed in the floor. The water is heated from a heat source which is typically a water heater or boiler.

Customer Questions & Answers

Please provide more details

The information provided is vague at best. what size pex? How many zones? is this a closed system? thanks, Chris
Asked by: Delrey
This Kit works on 3/8" Diameter Oxygen Barrier PEX, we also offer a 1/2" Diameter Kit as well. This is a closed system. The manifold has 6 Ports so if each circuit is fitted with an actuator it could control up to 6 zones. Each circuit that serves a zone would likely require an actuator to effectively control the flow of warm water to that zone. The number of zones and sq footage this kit will handle will depend on the total heating load required in your part of the country.
