Customer Reviews

0.9 cu. ft. Countertop Convection Microwave in White is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A SUPERIOR Multi-Functional Appliance! As a microwave, it does everything any conventional microwave does. However, this appliance does so much more! The Sharp convection capabilities are limitless. For example; it bakes, roasts, broils and grills. Recipes I’ve prepared, thus far, are banana bread with walnuts and raisins, baked lasagna, grilled pork chops, stuffed mushrooms, baked clams, roast beef and the most succulent grilled spareribs, ever! On a hot summer day, there are no worries about heating up the entire kitchen with this microwave/convection oven, as would happen with a conventional oven. When the recipe is completely cooked, it cools down quickly, within minutes. It replaced my oven, toaster oven, and grill, all appliances I used to use to prepare meals. I highly recommend this Sharp Microwave/Convection Oven to anyone who loves to cook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from versatile product I have had this combo microwave oven for two months have been putting it through its paces. The 900 Watt microwave function works as you would expect. What makes this unit special is all the other cooking modes that accompany the microwave function. The first test I tried was to see how accurate the convection oven temperature was, and how long it would take to reach a preset temperature. I placed a thermocouple probe in the center of the empty oven to measure temperature. I set the temperature to 425 deg. F. It took 20 minutes for the temperature to reach 423 deg. I also tried settings of 300, 350, 400, and 450. I found that the temperature held within 2 degrees of setpoint for all these temperature except for 450. The oven would only get to 430 degrees. The Roast function is very effective. It works using a combination of microwaves and convection heating. The microwave comes on at 30 percent power to speed cooking the interior of a roast, and the convection ovens browns the outside. I cooked a two pound bottom round roast in 25 min. and it came out great. The outside was well browned and the inside was juicy. Convection Mode. You can set this with Preheat or convection without preheat. Grill Mode: You can set this for Top Grill or Top and Bottom Grill The unit has many preprogrammed cooking modes to cook specific foods. The sturdy removable turntable is porcelan covered steel on the bottom and the top has an easy to clean non-stick surface. The interior is stainless steel. The exterior has an attractive appearance and good fit and finish. Here are few things to watch out for. The unit puts out heat from the top back of the oven. I had to install a heat shield under the cabinet that is over the oven to protect canned goods in the cabinet from getting too warm. Also, it's difficult to get hot pans out of the oven since there are no shelves that slide out. Pans sit on the turntable or rack and so you have to reach into a hot oven to get pans out. The turntable occationally makes a grinding noise. The digital display has a narrow angle of view. If the oven is on the kitchen counter, this is no big deal. But if it's lower or higher, you won't be able to read the display. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product does everything! Use it instead of the oven or grill often. Purchased this when my Magic Chef kept humming after it completed cooking food. Spent a little more than I had planned but well worth it. Could not be happier with it. Cooks and defrosts food much more evenly. Have so far used Compu cook , Compu pizza and Compu grill features. (just keep the manual near the unit for a while to know what setting numbers to use). No soggy pizza crust! Crisp how I like it. Was surprised how well it grills food. Takes longer than a regular grill, but food comes out with grill lines as if cooked on an outside grill. So many more features that I look forward to exploring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This microwave dose more than any other one i've seen. So far this microwave has cooked everything perfect, especially in the convection mode. Cooked frozen pizza and frozen pies just like a big oven without warming up the kitchen. The only problem i can see with this microwave is reading the display if its sitting on on countertop. You have to bend down a little bit. I'm going to build it into a cabinet at eye level though so it won't be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best thing that doesn't slice bread! This is my second of these ovens. Bought the first in 1998 and the only problem was after nine years the display lost a few digits but was repaired for less than $30.00 by a gentleman on the internet. Took the old one to the cabin and bought this new one for home use. I can't think of any food that I made in it that was unsatisfactory. Never tried a steak or hamburgers as I am a strict barbecue grill man for those. When it comes to a frozen pizza it takes 16 minutes and gives you perfection that rivals a pizza shop oven. Anyone will love this fantastic product. Simply amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from expensive but worth it. I am very impressed with the look of it, classy and not humongous. Just what I was looking for. I have only had it a couple of weeks so am not totally familiar with all it can far, it is smarter than I am. Seems you can program it to do everything but mop the floors....maybe it can do that too! Microwave works like any other, and I think I will like the convection oven. Have used it a few times and so far great results. The oven does throw off a lot of heat so needs to be unobstructed on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use the convection feature saves energy instead of using my large oven. it's a nice size for 9"x9" pans or use the large tray provided. I saved the tray from my old sharp convection oven and use that to switch out when i want to microwave right after using for convection. the chart inside of the door is a nice feature. bakes great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one space saver The oven is easy to put together and when set up is a real space saver. Once you read the directions and discover the options available from one appliance, you wonder why you did not have one earlier. The number of combinations and permutations for cooking are amazing. Read the directiions carefully and the options become clear and make cooking is easy.
