After reading some positive reviews online, we decided to go with sharp. We liked the size, style, color and functions. It is easy to use, especially one touch 30 sec button. Defrozen function works great. We almost had no complain about this microwave.
However, it gave us error code less than a month for the first refurbished unit. We thought gee, let us get a new one. After three weeks uses, the unit starts to generate weird noise in turntable. Don't know if it is the quality of Sharp or just few bad lemons.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gator1 A wonderful addition to my kitchen!
This microwave replaces one by same mfg that I bought new in 1979 that finally died. the old one was huge, and had a cabinet built into my kitchen to house it as it was too big on the counter. This new one is small and compact, does all the same things in a smaller space, and now have room in that cabinet to store my baking pans where I can see and reach them! This microwave is quiet and efficient, easy to operate, and quite good looking. Sharp has sure made some improvements - hope this one lives as long as the first one! The price was also right.

We had a Panasonic Inverter microwave die in our travel trailer after only 2 years. I had loved the Panasonic when I bought it, so I bought an over the range Panasonic for my home. The original came DOA, and now this one was bad.
Not willing to pay the big bucks for another Panasonic, I was looking for a microwave that was well built, few features, and (most importantly) it had to fit the enclosure in my trailer. This Sharp filled the bill.
This was the first oder that I placed with Home Depot online, and it was delivered on time, and worked right out of the box.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swami Sharp 1.1 cu microwave
Had a Sharp years ago. Been through various "other brands" that had many more bells and whistles and left me feeling like they had enough power to shoot me to Mars. This unit is perfect (two people living in the house) and doesnt have a bunch of features. Found it a tad difficult to set a power (other than high) but once I read the instructions (duh) BRILLIANT way from a user interface standpoint, to handle the power levels. Love the microwave and price was great - took back a space saver GE for $189 and got this one instead.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JJColumbus You can't go wrong with a Sharp....
My previous microwave was a Sharp (2 cu.ft with carousel) that we had for 6 years, and it still worked perfectly. Unfortunately I bumped one of the door latches the other day and it snapped off. I bought this microwave to replace it. Its smaller in all dimensions, but its large enough for our use (reheating leftovers, steaming bags of frozen vegetable, tea, hot chocolate, microwaveable heating pads, etc.) Its easy to use, and has an "Add 30 seconds" button. The only odd thing is that the '0' button is to the right of '1' through '9' instead of below. This oven is 1000 watts, so there is plenty of power, and it has a carousel, so everything heats evenly. Not anticipating any issues, given previous history with the brand. Build quality is consistent with previous as well.

I needed to purchase a pair of these one for our business the other for home as our home model died the week previous. So we purchased these, they function, are smaller, and the best part the door seals don't leak while operating. I'll tell ya what, they have a feature where by you can extent from 0 - 30 second intervals ,I believe this is the most used feature when you know it's there. It tends to supercede pretty much all the other function buttons. There was a screw up from the carrier during shipping, not home depots fault. The folks on the phone were not only human but they birddogged it and made everything kinda nice. This was the unexpected pleasure of this purchase. I gave it four stars because in my book to get five stars someone would have had to come with it and operated it for us.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by patricia612 Great Microwave for the Office
We've had this microwave at the office since early April, about 4 months now, and it's perfect. It has the handy 30 second button that everyone uses. It is also quiet and just beeps a few times to signal that your food is ready. Food is always heated well. Also, we like that we can just put in the number of minutes and seconds that we want. We have an office of 25, so the microwave is used very often. It has a sleek look that everyone likes too. Great buy and great price.

Just purchased from Home Depot to replace a 20 yr old Sharp Carousel which was not broken just to large and this is much smaller than the old one. This microwave is very nice looking and will look good in any kitchen. The cost is great and is only missing the sensor feature but I can live without that. It has the features I need, good cavity and enough watts to get it done in reasonable time. If it last half the time as the old one, I will be happy,
