Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hksh First one had error code within a month
After reading some positive reviews online, we decided to go with sharp. We liked the size, style, color and functions. It is easy to use, especially one touch 30 sec button. Defrozen function works great. We almost had no complain about this microwave.
However, it gave us error code less than a month for the first refurbished unit. We thought gee, let us get a new one. After three weeks uses, the unit starts to generate weird noise in turntable. Don't know if it is the quality of Sharp or just few bad lemons.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swami Sharp 1.1 cu microwave
Had a Sharp years ago. Been through various "other brands" that had many more bells and whistles and left me feeling like they had enough power to shoot me to Mars. This unit is perfect (two people living in the house) and doesnt have a bunch of features. Found it a tad difficult to set a power (other than high) but once I read the instructions (duh) BRILLIANT way from a user interface standpoint, to handle the power levels. Love the microwave and price was great - took back a space saver GE for $189 and got this one instead.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OldGrouch Worked out of the box. Performs to specification.
Had a Sharp similar to this one that lasted 15 years almost to the day. This one seems to perform well after 3 weeks of use every day. I miss the light when the door is opened, but otherwise, I'm happy with it. This might be a small point, but I do like that I can set the timer to one-second increments. Sometimes you only need a 10 or 12-second shot to warm something.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JJColumbus You can't go wrong with a Sharp....
My previous microwave was a Sharp (2 cu.ft with carousel) that we had for 6 years, and it still worked perfectly. Unfortunately I bumped one of the door latches the other day and it snapped off. I bought this microwave to replace it. Its smaller in all dimensions, but its large enough for our use (reheating leftovers, steaming bags of frozen vegetable, tea, hot chocolate, microwaveable heating pads, etc.) Its easy to use, and has an "Add 30 seconds" button. The only odd thing is that the '0' button is to the right of '1' through '9' instead of below. This oven is 1000 watts, so there is plenty of power, and it has a carousel, so everything heats evenly. Not anticipating any issues, given previous history with the brand. Build quality is consistent with previous as well.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by terry this product has poor features
the product works very good. my main complaint is that it is a countertop model and the pearl grey color of the panel on the front, you can barely see the numbers and instructions on the front. I have to bend down every time I want to use it to see the numbers. I will have to do something because I do think it is a big problem for old and young.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Raghu very satisfied with the purchase
I am totally satisfied with the purchase, not too bulky, very powerful and love the +30 sec button. Only con is the push button open, opens up with ease but kind of tricky to close which you get used to gradually.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ibal Lasted 2 months, and we were on vacation for 3 weeks of that.
Bought this from HD in Dublin, CA. I thought it was reasonably priced. But after less than 2 months, it just died. No power, just got fried or something.
I guess they really don't make them last anymore.
I give this model 1 STAR, but I give Home Depot 5 STARS!!! for giving me store credit.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Suzzanna This microwave is a lemon.
This microwave worked fine for a day and a half, but suddenly stopped working completely, so I returned it and bought a different brand at Walmart. Even though I've owned several Sharp microwaves over the years and have been very happy with them, this model is a lemon. I would give it zero stars if I could.
