Like many other consumers stated, mine also died within the second year. It is clear that this is a product nobody should buy unless they want a product to last less than 2 years. This Microwave was born with the "2 Year Syndrome" which has no cure.
Unlike some other customers reported, SHARP USA did not offer me to cover the cost of diagnosis. They gave me a short list of authorized dealers that I can take it to for repairs.
I am taking it to curbside for garbage truck instead.

I love having the microwave off the counter. The overall effect looks sleek and clean. It seems to cook evenly, even though there is no carousel inside.

Stay away from this product. It looks wonderful until it breaks. Seems none of them are lasting more than 5 years. So, then you have a "built in" piece of you know what in your island. Service is horrible. A guy came out for 5 minutes told us what parts we needed and told us to pay him $180 service fee. I told him he would get paid when its actually repaired. He has not called or shown up after that. For $900 an appliance should last 10 years. Home depot, please get products that you can stand behind, Sharp is not the future.

Many instructions appear in the LED display area making it so easy to operate and unnecessary to repeatedly refer to the manual. Sensor mode for softening, melting, re-heating, etc., works very well. Extremely easy access and no need for a carousel to reach even heating throughout.
The reason I did not give 5 stars: cleaning the entire interior of the installed area of the drawer. In fairness to Sharp, my drawer has not been installed very long and there may be a simple way to access this area that I am not yet familiar with.

I originally purchased this microwave through Sears, They sold me a warranty with it. After three years the unit failed. I working with Sears for 9 months trying to get the replacement that they agreed I was entitled to. They admitted that they had the appliance through their online site, but could not figure out how to ship it to me. In the end they gave up and sent me a check for $500 towards a new microwave. When I received the money I got on line and ordered the unity from Home Depot. Luckily it was on sale for $150 less than Sears. The agreement said it would take 10 days to arrive, much better than 9 months.
To my surprise, it arrived the next day, which was Christmas Eve. Wow. Thank you Home Depot.

This is the coolest microwave. Not only does it look beautiful, but it's very functional. I love that I don't have to reach above my head to take dishes out to stir them. Looking down on the plate or bowl makes so much more sense. It's also much easier for the kids to reach. So far (after 2 months) we've had no problems. As with all microwaves, it takes a bit of time to gauge how quickly it heats and how to use its full capabilities, but spend 10 minutes reading the manual and you'll get it. Did I say how beautiful this microwave is?

We've owned it for about 3 months now. It works great, just wish it had a 5 sec increase/decrease knob like our old over-the range microwave did. It does have a +minute button. It has a lot of other preset features that I haven't even tried yet. The open/close feature is neat but is a bit slow...then again if it went faster it would probably spill beverages. Overall, it is a very good microwave.

Was building a house and bought this appliance through our builder. Beautiful design, loved the idea, had cabinets build around it and after 2 years it failed. PLEASE read reviews for buyers who have had this microwave for longer than 2 years. Sharp customer service is AWFUL and only does and authorized sharp dealer able to service it, and then its difficult to find one and trying to get a hold of one has been even harder. Looks like I will have to replace this microwave, wasted $1300! very disappointed.
