Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 79 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good! I got this microwave in early Dec & so far it has worked great. Its huge & there is room to cook more than one thing at a time if desired. Looks nice & is user friendly. I've also noticed that the food that gets splattered on the inside is pretty easy to get off as well, which is nice. I've used a paper towel with nothing but water to wipe it down & everything came right off. May 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice features It is so easy to use. We didn't even have to look at the instructions. But the night light is either too bright or located in the wrong place, or I would have given it 5 stars. October 9, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Arrived DOA , HD return excellent Good looking unit, but arrived non functioning. Handle seemed a bit flimsy and the "nightlight' was annoyingly intense ultra white bulb. Called Sharp 'service' who told me to take it to a repair shop 20 miles away. Driving 80 miles round trips to repair a new unit should not be mine to bear. A simple FedEx return label would have placated me. I refused request and called HD .com who let me return to local store. Very codial and professional. Not sure I will buy single large electronics and have shipped anymore, as wonder how many times was dropped in transit. Maybe palletized products at local store are protected better? Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great microwave so far This is my second model. The first one arrived and had a loose fan which rattled when the machine was running. I thought about fixing it myself, but decided the I'd rather not risk messing with the electronics. The new model works great and I have no complaints. It's spacious and runs well, though I've had mixed results with the "Sense" cooking—sometimes it works, other times it heats unevenly. But all prior microwaves I've owned did not come with this feature, so this is not a big deal for me. All in all this is a very good machine. January 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Arrived damaged Was eagerly awaiting my replacement ofr the venerable Sharp microwave that has lasted many years. Ordered via Homedepot.com and was pleased with how quickly the order was processed and shipped. BUT... when the unit arrived less than a week after order, we opened an intact box to find a severly dented damaged unit with 2 seperate dents on back-side and back. It seems there is no other way this could have occurred other than at the factory prior to boxing / shipping and is VERY disconcerting that this damage was missed on Quality Control. This was NOT subtle damage. We will cautously try another, but hope this is not indicative of Sharp's quality / reliability. I would still recommend the Sharp based on features, price, and reliability of my old unit... July 17, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Only trim is Stainless Steel Don't be mislead by the words "Stainless Steel"! The only Stainless Steel is the tiny trim around the glass door & control panel. The rest of the unit is a dull, battle ship grey color which looks very cheap! I expected the entire microwave to be made of Stainless Steel. I have used a Sharp carousel for many years & I think I will enjoy the large size but I NEVER would have purchased at a store where I could see that ugly dull grey color - doesn't go with any of my other kitchen appliances. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by died after 9 months Our previous sharp carousel that was over 10 yrs old was a solid dependable microwave so when it finally gave up, we chose this as a replacement model. Had problems with it from the first week and was only able to use it on full power up to 3 minutes; otherwise had to use the sensor heating settings. It completely died 9 months of light use. Will never recommend this particular model to anyone. Our previous model was a 1200 watt oven so the wattage was not the problem and after reading other reviews in various forums; we are not alone. The problem with most reviews is that people post them when the item is still new which makes it hard to get an informed decision regarding longevity. From what I gather from repairmen, this model has a higher than average magnetron replacement in a short period of time. Not worth the cost to repair. September 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for those who COOK with a Microwave My LG died in less than 2 years. Got GE Pluged it in and it started running on its own, couldn't stop it. Brought it back. The replacement GE didn't heat properly. Took 2 min to cook 1 scrambled egg, should be 45 sec. max. Brought it back and ordered the Sharp on line. It arrived in just a couple of days. So far it works great. Everything I have cooked has come out correctly. Frozen foods that are microwave cooked come out perfect. I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't know how long it will last. I know it won't last 30 years like my Amana or my mother's Liton but I expect it should last between 5-10 years at least. It looks great. Large enough to cook a turkey. But you do need to read the book to use all its features. Operation on programing multiple time cooking is different from my previous microwave. July 31, 2012
