Customer Questions & Answers

Can you use to draw on face like face paint?

Asked by: Dar
NO! Use washable water based face paint, you'd need to use harsh chemical paint removers to get this off! At the very least use regular sharpies, which come off with rubbing alcohol.

If I use the White sharpie, will it write over black paint?

If I use the White sharpie, will it write over black paint?
Asked by: Michiiclare
As long as the black paint is completely dry, yes. These things can write on nearly anything, I work in a weld shop and when cutting nearly anything we use these. They even work on top of clear gloss auto enamel! (that smooth clear coat on top of your car's paint)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product was used on black metal surface. Overall... The product was used on black metal surface. Overall the white worked well although I had to apply several coats to get the coverage I required. The red was okay but it wasn't as bright as I had hoped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes a fair amount of shaking and squeezing for it to bleed out If you are looking for precise painting without brushes, and the messy clean up that usually goes along with that, pick up some of these paint markers. The are convenient and have good precise points. There is a the paint ball similar to what you would find in aerosol cans that will mix up the paint. Then you need to squeeze the tip, which is kind of like a hard sponge.for the paint to bleed into. After which, you just use it like a marker. My only (minor) complaint is that is that it take a bit of squeezing before the paint bleeds into the market point/tip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Paint Marker For Most Surfaces I was looking to try an alternate tool for painting details on a wall mural. I had been using multiple fine-tip paintbrushes and latex paint to date, and while this had been satisfactory, the entire process was still slightly tedious (get the paint, stir, dip, paint, clean, put away). I purchased this set of paint markers to see if they would serve instead. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well they mark up various surfaces (wood, drywall, metal) and have started using them almost exclusively when doing fine detail work, They apply easily and dry very quickly with a glossy sheen (don't use in a matte application). The only drawbacks seem to be the lack of a very fine point (which can be addressed by the delicateness of the touch), and the time spent priming the marker by shaking it vigorously the first use. Overall, if you are looking for an easy, detail paint tool, this is a very good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY Tool These pens are easy to use, they don't "run" or drip like I thought a paint pen might. Easy application. My sisters and I used them to decorate coffee mugs and they were PERFECT. My sisters' turned out way cooler than mine, but that's just due to user limitations. I'm probably going to buy more for her birthday. If you like fun, crafty, DIY projects, GET THESE! FYI: It takes quite a bit of shaking to get the paint to the tip. Once it's there, you're golden. Don't give up!
