CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 121 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not too bad We bought these tiles for two of the bathrooms in our house. We laid them directly on top of the vinyl flooring. Shaw recommends placing the tiles with the lines vertical and the next tile with the lines horizontal. We laid them with the lines all running the same direction. They're easier to vacuum that way. We believe the reason they want them back and forth is because the colors DO NOT MATCH on all the tiles. With them back and forth you won't notice this mismatch as much, but even with it, they do not look very bad. I included a photo so you can see what I mean. They DO STINK though. If you order these and maybe any pre-glued tiles, do yourself a favor and take all of the tiles out of the box and spread them around outside for a couple of hours. Then you'll be good to go. If you lay them directly from the box, the stench is awful. Trying to get the paper off the glue can be a real pain also. Shaw says to peel it off in one quick sweeping motion. That's great advice, if you can get it started. I wish the glue was just a bit tackier. If you need to replace any tiles you shouldn't have a problem because you can just peel the bad tile off the floor and lay a new one. We haven't had a problem yet, but we are a bit concerned with the tackiness holding long term. Maybe we shouldn't be concerned. Only time will tell. Even with the few drawbacks, we would not hesitate to purchase them again. June 26, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by $85 solution to $350 problem~!!! 1. These tiles were the LEAST expensive option when a competitor didnt' want to do the smaller job without a HUGE installation fee. And it was FREE SHIPPING! 2. They were VERY easy to install and easy to cut and fit to the odd spots. 3. Even though at first I thought there wouldn't be enough padding or cushion, actually it's not bad even though they are installed on concrete. 4. Hopefully they will stay in place without loss of adhesive for a long time. It's only been a couple of days but I'm still VERY PLEASED!!! June 8, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Exactly as advertised This product was exactly as advertised. We were looking for the ocean blue , to continue our floor covering, but it was out of stock. January 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Second time buying these This is the second time we bought these. Same color for a basement bedroom and bathroom. Same likes and dislikes as the first time. They are a great way to cover tile and concrete without spending a fortune. They still need just a bit more adhesive and they 'definitely' need something done to keep the color more uniform. Like I said in my last review, their instructions say to use a criss cross pattern. In other words, lay one with the 'lines' going vertical and the next one with them going horizontal. I think that may help cover the fact that the color varies so much. We chose to lay them with the lines all running the same way so it would be easier to vacuum them. All in all, these are a great buy. We plan on doing the rest of the basement with these only in a different color. You need to lay these carpet tiles outside. Take them all out of the boxes and lay them down for about 2 hours. You'll be sorry if you don't as they stink to high heaven. They need to be aired out!!! Also count them as you take them out of the box. There should be 20 in each box but sometimes there's 19 and sometimes there's 21. On this order we were shorted 1 tile which was no big deal, but still a shortage. December 11, 2012
