CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product, great price! Great deal, installed myself and was very satisfied. Now if only I could afford to do the rest of the house while this price is still in effect. Out of 7 boxes there were maybe 3 pieces of wood that weren't in perfect shape. Lots of character, very pleased. May 21, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good value, easily worth 3 times its cost... I have to say I am impressed. In my last home I installed Bruce 3/4" hardwoods that we bought "on sale" they came great too but I averaged 4-6 pieces of stuff I wouldn't use. That is not the case with this stuff, So far out of 19 boxes we only had 1 piece that looked like the stain didn't soak in on one of its corners, I set it aside so we didn't mix it in and my wife actually wanted it in there, it added character... This is maple so it is not has heavy as oak floors I installed, but judging by how the nail guns were acting it feels very hard, we stapled this floor and I had to up the psi in my compressor a good amount to get the staples deep enough for the next piece to set in without hitting the nail... Maple comes in many qualities this seems decent, I would compare it to any oak I ever set.. BUT keep in mind this maple is light with a dark stain, SO if you scratch it, it will be VERY noticeable, I scratched a test piece to see how strong the finish was and how visable it would be, good news is the finish is very strong, BAD news when you do scratch it, it is not hard to spot the scratch, but with this wood, I noticed when filling in my top nailed pieces the stain is easy to match. {I used a minwax dark walnut pen I had and it matched well}... So in closing I am happy with it and have another 26 boxes to put down next week end and the next... Some install notes- put down red rosin paper as an underlayment, Square the first row well with the room, top nail the rows where the hardwood nailer wont fit, Watch your patterns keep your joints at least 6"s away from each other at least 2 rows in all directions, Use your cutoffs from the last piece of each row as the starters for your other rows making sure to keep them long enough not to have to toss them out and your waste will be low, keep the wood in your building for a week or so to acclimate it, stay 1/8" from all walls {the moldings will cover the gap, with out the gap when the temps change you can have expansion problems}... You follow them guidlines and your floor will look great... June 1, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks Great!! We were looking for a darker color flooring at a good price and we found it with this flooring. It is a great price for the value and quality, and it looks like it would cost much more. Very happy with this flooring. May 4, 2014
