Answer:
The legs are about 6" from ground to bottom of rack "tubes" Rack tubing is about 2". From log surface to the top of the rack is about 45 inches. I have wood stacked about 5.5 feet high. It holds 1.5 facecord of wood and the wood must be at least 16 inches long to be stable. In my personal opinion, any wood cut more that 36 inchs in length would destabilize the rack.

Yes. And a wood burning stove in which to burn it. Home Depot will also send out a mason to build you a fireplace, a brick oven, and a fire pit. And you will receive your own personal lumberjack to cut down trees and buck and split the logs.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 70 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by best purchase from HD ever! The rack came in a large box but it wasn't overly heavy or cumbersome to move. Took about 25 mins to assemble by myself. Carried it outside and immediately started stacking some fresh cut firewood on it. Seems pretty durable. Held up to the blizzard of 2016 in NY. The cover works well, but I have already started stacking a little higher that I probably should. It's holding the additional weight. We'll see how this thing holds up over the years, but so far so good. February 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Handy Tool This firewood rack came along just when I needed it. The assembly was easy. and all the parts were included. I set it up under the eaves of my work shop so I haven't used the cover (yet). My firewood looks good there and the rack makes it readily available. I have a small one that I purchased long ago and it is there too. If you need a place and method to keep firewood this works very well. If you don't have a hard surface to put it on, you could place flat concrete stepping stones under the feet. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy and worth the price! I just put this rack together by myself and it was a cinch. The directions are simply a drawing, but it is not difficult to figure it out. If you hand tighten the bolts As you assemble it, you can come back with a wrench or pliers later to tighten everything up. This gives you wiggle room to line up the bolts. I ordered this at 4pm on Sunday 1/10 and it was delivered by Wednesday morning! Original delivery window was 14th-18th! When my husband gets up in the morning, he'll need to help me get it outside. It's looooong! It seems very sturdy. Let's hope it is strong enough to hold all that wood! Oh, and the cover looks fine. I stretched it out and it fits well. Not flimsy like some other reviewers stated. Good design. Now to rent a log splitter! (my son can have that job!) January 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as described On Line The firewood rack was easy to assemble and the directions was clear. It holds approximately 3/4 of a cord of wood and didn't buckle under weight. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product to Keep Firewood Neatly Stacked and Dry! Durable and not too obtrusive. Assembly went fast with no problems -just need a box or open end wrench or ratchet drive. November 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product great value Highly functional. Assembly way a snap. Keeps wood dry perfectly. Neighbor ordered his already. December 31, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Purchase for Needed Product Recent ice storm brought down two whole trees and multiple limbs from others. Already had an 8' rack but needed a much increased capacity. Assembled the unit in 10 minutes and was ready to go. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product for a good price. The firewood rack is very solid. I would like to see the cover be a bit longer to better secure at each end of the rack. Overall was easy to assemble. December 18, 2012
