I really think I would go with a 48" long auger for the extra safety -- too much will not hurt you in the long run. Possibly overkill -- if the frame is not bolted together or using many long thick nails -- you will just end up with a frame -- but 35 miles inland can help a good bit depending on the storm. Good luck & re-enforce the shed some Read Less

The anchors are well built and sturdy on their own. So I would say yes, but keep in mind, the strength of your building and where the anchors attach to it and the ground. Fla. has sandy soil. The anchors will only hold if they are inserted into stable ground. Good Luck!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vary good. The earth anchor set went in the ground very easy. I will supply these to all my customers. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by These anchors are great, even in sandy soil The galvanized coating seems a little thin, otherwise this is a great product. The 30 inch length of the anchors makes these work great, even in our sandy soils here in Florida. The corkscrew spirals were large enough that they gave a really good hold once they were driven in the ground. After the anchors were halfway turned into the ground with a large screwdriver, we had to finish driving them in with a breaker bar. Have no doubts they will hold our small shed to the ground in sever weather. Would highly recommend these. And the price was great, especially compared to other kits for the same use. August 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good buy The anchors were easy to put in and seem very strong. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fence Support A fence built by contractors that "flipped" the home behind my house a few years ago catches the full force of any wind we get in the winter. Because they only put a small amount of concrete around the 4x4s the fence gets pushed and was ready to fall over. The new homeowners do not have enough money at this point to replace the fence so for the time being we will install these anchors and guy the fence back with coated wire. Last year I used a screw anchor used for pets and they held for some of the milder weather but the stronger wind storms would loosen these anchors. The new 30 inch anchors should hold the fence much better. The anchors were easy to screw into the ground and I used one anchor as a rigging point to pull the fence back until it was straight then attached the guy wires to the 4x4 and the anchor directly behind the 4x4. I believe this cheaper solution to a fence that still has a little life to it will work until the funds can be saved to put a properly built fence in place. (The 4x4s are starting to rot so adding concrete wasn't an option). August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not effectively hold down canopies These drill in and core out a hole such that they can easily be pulled back out with minimal effort. If i can lift them out of the ground, they won't hold my canopy down in the wind. We found some cork screw style dog run stakes that work much better and can't be easily lifted out of the ground. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very strong and well made I bought these to secure a shed. The kit has all you need. They are rather long and would work even in sand I think. It's a job to screw them into dirt but I know they will hold. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job Bought anchors to stabilize a retaining wall top. It drilled in the soil just fine and when pulling the retaining straps tight, it held. I can't ask for more than that. July 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by fair purchase really hard to place within earth; I decided to go with smaller stakes that I could hammer into the earth. July 5, 2016
