I already had 2 other Shelter Logic portable garages but larger and more heavy duty, so I do have some experience with these things.
The only reason I bought this particular "Peak Style" garage was for the 16 foot length that I HAD to have. The poles are a bit small and weak for this type of design. If anything, with a roof such as this it should have been made much stronger if used in areas subject to snow.
I immediately reinforced the metal structure with collar ties, bolted at the existing bolted joints on the 3 intermediate supports. I plan on putting a couple of diagonal supports at the end, without the door opening, for added rigidity. Nough said!

I bought this unit about 16 months ago and I tell you has served its purpose. easy assembly and pretty durable when anchored properly. The tarp material is great but will deteriorate after while, but normal for any tarp material. I am glad I bought this item and I am satisfied with the customer service delivery and product itself. good job shelter Logic for making a product that serves its purpose for a great price. I would definatly purchase again

This is a great product, the only thing that could help is to add an extra addition to the base of the back wall, this has been done on the sides, better to have it ion the back wall as well.

Product is excellent. The instructions are vague in places and the parts and pieces aren't marked well or if at all. If they were all labeled and separated, (some were so similar and all bunched together) the whole process would be a totally different experience in assembling, for the better. Especially if it's your first time in doing this type of project. Overall, I would definitely purchase this product and others by this maker.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DC Rusted but Aceptable
The package arrived intact and secured with a plastic wrap around the heavy cardboard box. However upon taking inventory of tne parts, I discovered all the steel tubes that frame the skelter were rusted where they were in contact with the bottom of the box. Although the rust could easily be wiped off the powder coating, they were permanently discolored. All of the parts were clearly marked and was easily assemblef.

It is slightly awkward to build, basically because of the size of it, but other than that, I find it to be a great cover. It's strong and very durable. I highly recommend it!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bailey Funny You Should Ask. Garage in a Box
I purchased the Garage in a Box because I am a 77 year old widow who broke her hip and thought it would be prudent to get a temporary garage close to my house. It took my handyman, Dan, 7 hours to put it up. Not bad. I think the directions said 2 men 3 hours. We bought extra stakes to pin it down. The next day the whole deal went air-bourne (would have clobbered my Highlander except I was in the village). The garage in a box flew over a car parked in the drive and fell onto an apple tree outside my front door. My brother, a contractor, came with his crew and they reassembled it. Beat, torn, and ugly, they put it up and staked it down. Looks like the Inquisition put it back. Every time it snowed, I hobbled across the lane into the "garage," and used my cane to thump the snow off the roof. Last night we got a BIG SNOW and this morning my "garage" is a collapsed hovel. I wonder who to call to haul it away. Any thoughts?
