Answer:
No, they are connected by poles at the bottom so that they do not move in the wind. You could disconnect them if you needed to but I would not leave it that way. The bottom poles also help with stability.

Answer:
The size of the door opening on this Shelter is 10' wide x 6' tall. The door narrows in at the top to 8'6" wide. We would recommend measuring the overall width, length and height of your vehicle to see if this will fit.

A concrete slab would be great for anchoring. Assuming you know how to drill into the concrete and insert appropriate anchors.

Answer:
This Garage in a box can be anchored into concrete by purchasing concrete anchors. Each leg of the garage has a foot plate on it with pre drilled holes that can be used for anchoring.

Customer Reviews

Garage-in-a-Box 12 ft. x 16 ft. x 8 ft. Peak Style Grey Garage is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Surprises I already had 2 other Shelter Logic portable garages but larger and more heavy duty, so I do have some experience with these things. The only reason I bought this particular "Peak Style" garage was for the 16 foot length that I HAD to have. The poles are a bit small and weak for this type of design. If anything, with a roof such as this it should have been made much stronger if used in areas subject to snow. I immediately reinforced the metal structure with collar ties, bolted at the existing bolted joints on the 3 intermediate supports. I plan on putting a couple of diagonal supports at the end, without the door opening, for added rigidity. Nough said!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rusted but Aceptable The package arrived intact and secured with a plastic wrap around the heavy cardboard box. However upon taking inventory of tne parts, I discovered all the steel tubes that frame the skelter were rusted where they were in contact with the bottom of the box. Although the rust could easily be wiped off the powder coating, they were permanently discolored. All of the parts were clearly marked and was easily assemblef.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product This is a great product, the only thing that could help is to add an extra addition to the base of the back wall, this has been done on the sides, better to have it ion the back wall as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this unit about 16 months ago and I tell you has served its purpose. easy assembly and pretty durable when anchored properly. The tarp material is great but will deteriorate after while, but normal for any tarp material. I am glad I bought this item and I am satisfied with the customer service delivery and product itself. good job shelter Logic for making a product that serves its purpose for a great price. I would definatly purchase again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bargain Overall very pleased with the structure. Very roomy and all that. Only downfall is the instructions and labeling of the parts. Instructions are vague pictures with no description. You end up undoing a lot down the line. The labeling on the parts is very poorly printed and half were faded. All of the nuts were unlabeled and when the difference in size is minimal it becomes a huge hassle to separate 100+ pieces of hardware. Also: when sliding frame through fabric use some kitchen spray or other lube otherwise it isn't going through without a huge fight. Fabric is tough and durable and structure is sturdy. Definitely recommend the additional anchor kit. If for nothing other than peace of mind.

They were easy to build buy myself, although taking much longer than if two people are working together, especially building one the second time. A remote e-driver for a socket is most handy. The quality is very good, and holds up to strong winds well. And replacement covers are available, unlike some of the lower cost options (Harbor Freight). My first Shelter Logic shed is very near a bedroom, and it does have a loud obnoxious creaking noise when windy at all. So I've leaned a pre-loaded board against the outside of a middle structural upright that causes a small lean of the whole shed to one side but prevents movement in light to moderate winds and eliminates the creaking unless the wind is very strong.

I do not recommend this because the wind can turn it into a kite if you are not careful. But basically pretty straight forward installation. I lined the interior floor with some heavy mill plastic and then covered it with wooden skids from work. Many companies throw these skids away because they are not heat treated, but provides a really nice floor to store equipment on and keep it dry.
