Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality material I first purchased a Cover-it shelter in 1992, it lasted till 2010. So I purchased a 13x20x8 shelter in 2011 and another in 2012. In May or June 2013 the seams of the 2012 unit main cover started to come undone, when taking photos of it to send in, I noticed my 2011 units roof starting to tear above the welded seam. It took me 3 MONTHS!, of repeated phone calls before I finally got though, 45 minutes on hold, just to be told my 1 year warrantee is up. I've asked what is required to purchasing a new cover and it's been 2 weeks and no response. These units seem well engineered and are simple to put up if you follow the instructions but, the quality of the fabric is very very substandard. The 1-800 # is a joke, 3 months of trying 30 to 45 minutes on hold ! If they offered the same rip-stop material that the original Cover-it sheds had this would be a decent product. November 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good garage, but very poor quality control I own three of these. Each one of these had very poor quality control with where the holes are drilled. I had to use a unibit and ream out the holes or create new ones entirely for the bolt holes to line up. Note that this is not something you can build with one person. You really need at least two people to put it together. Its heavy especially when you are lifting one side to put the legs on the frame. I didn't like the way it was so floppy so I redesigned it and reinforced it with additional 1" EMT pipe. Now not even the wind kicks it around. But by default there is a lot of play in the pipes so if you push on it from any side it will flex and move. If you think you are going to just put this up and use it, think again. Those little screw hooks that they give you that screw into the ground are garbage and a strong wind will rip them right out of the ground. I built a foundation of 8" sonono tubes filled with concrete and a pressure treated wood rail. Now I feel confident that it will be held down for years to come. For what they are, they are cheap. Mine have held up against thunderstorms and snow storms for one year so far without a tear in the fabric. With the right foundation and a little re-engineering they can be extremely strong. plus I like the fact that my town can't force me to get a building permit or tax me for them. I use them for my cars. I've uploaded a image that shows some of my EMT reinforcements so it might help someone else. I put 20 10 foot pieces of 1" EMT into each of these. October 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not durable No issues when purchased, however at 15 months in an area protected from wind and with no significant snow in the past winter (13) the shelter material seperated along 3/4s of its length along the first support beam below the ridge. Not going to bother with any more shelter logic products, they not durable even in mild conditions. December 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by worth every penny Took about 6 hours to build and 3 guys to do it but this thing is huge and worth the money December 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Shelter Definitely watch the video on the HD site (several times). It took 2/3 of us about 5 hours one the first day to get initial structure up, and then 2 of us about another 4 hours to get the the sides and roof on. We have had a few snow storms here in the NE so far this winter and the snow falls right off the roof. FYI: It is not called out in the instructions, but the smaller bolts are for the structure and the longer ones are to anchor the roof to the structure. January 23, 2015
