Height at Walls

It clearly states that the height in the center is 8', but I am attempting to plan my layout and would like to know the height at the walls, which will be less than the stated 8'. Thank you!

Can it be set up on a asphalt parking lot?

Want to set it up on asphalt(tar) parking lot. Would that work or do you need some sort of special anchoring pieces or stakes? Or do you not recommend for this use?
Asked by: Bruce
There are 4 stakes at each corner which I screwed into the soil, but directions provide you with additional instructions on how to secure it on concrete as well.

Do the pipes go into the ground a little or are there places to tie the structure down? I can imagine this blowing away...Thanks

Asked by: kathy
there are 4 stakes which are provided and secure the structure pretty well.

Customer Reviews

GrowIt 20 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Greenhouse-In-A-Box is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Purchased a 6x8 about 6 years ago and worked well. Cover and frame was good quality. I just purchased a 10x10 and unfortunately did not read the reviews. An absolute nightmare. Came with a pipe missing and one dented. Had to wait for the part. Instructions are ridiculous. Only pictures with are not clear. You are pretty much on your own to figure how to assemble. Two of the winches broke and had to go to the hardware to buy 2 more. Cover is like a cheap tarp and will not last like the old reinforced covers. We have been working on it for 4 days and still are not done. Mostly because it is so frustrating. I would never buy another from this company.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Appears to be a good product after receiving all the parts I am impressed with the product so far. Due to the fact that I just assembled it this week I can not rate it on durability. I can say that unless you work for the company, there is no way it can be assembled in 2 hours. It took us approx. 4 hours to assemble. Unfortunately, the shipping box was damaged and all taped up, except for a 4" x 6 " hole in it. Apparently, that is where the 7 adjustable tie downs fell out, thus I could not complete the assembly properly. I called customer service and after a long wait I spoke to a rep and received the missing tie downs in about 9 days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy I am not happy with this product. Purchased it in October of 2015 and put up in November 2015. Used one year and 2 months. During the holidays noticed the seam at the top of the side wall was ripping. Had purchased a much larger product 22 years ago and it is still being used. Why doesn't the smaller ones last any longer than their warranty. This was the second one in 2 years and they tore in the same area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed! I am quite happy with this product. I price out a DIY with PVC and other parts to be about $300, this was $400 with no planning, cutting, or much thinking required. Directions kind of suck, but if you have half a brain you'll figure it out. Definitely a 2 person job. Took us about 3 hours to build. Shortly after construction and anchoring we had 50-65 mph gusts of wind which, it withstood with a little leaning, but no damage. Stays warm, tough woven cover. Only comes with 4 heavy corner anchors, I bought 6 large stake anchors for the middle arches. Front an back panels needed weight to hold down better to the ground (wind blows through without weight), I used some 3/4" steel pipe I have laying around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy I bought this because I could not afford one of the more permanent kind of greenhouse. I am very glad I did. First do not let the fact that it comes in a smaller then expected box freak you out (it did me). It is just really well packed. I do have some suggestions to make your job easier..... First sort all the pieces into like piles including the screws, and use a paper with the number of the part written in black magic marker so that you can see it from a distance. Be sure not to put the piles in your work area. This might sound like an obvious first step but I cannot believe the time it saved me. The job takes about 4 hours from start to finish with two people. Putting the frame up is the easiest part and getting the canvas just right takes some time and adjusting.
