It clearly states that the height in the center is 8', but I am attempting to plan my layout and would like to know the height at the walls, which will be less than the stated 8'. Thank you!

Want to set it up on asphalt(tar) parking lot. Would that work or do you need some sort of special anchoring pieces or stakes? Or do you not recommend for this use?

There are 4 stakes at each corner which I screwed into the soil, but directions provide you with additional instructions on how to secure it on concrete as well.

Answer:
You would definitely need some kind of anchor on asphalt, just as it does in the ground. We did not use the (wimpy) stakes it came with. My son cut up a metal fence post and pounded a 2 ft. section into each corner to anchor the tie downs to. However, the walls would be nice and level at the bottom in a paved area, unlike where we set it up. =D I hope this helps.

Answer:
It depends on if you have any wind at all. You do need to anchor it down. You could maybe anchor it in buckets of cement? But then you wouldn't be able to move it.

Hi Bruce,
The manufacturer specifically states the green house must be
properly anchored to the ground.
The supplied hardware will not work on asphalt. I would not recommend using this green house on asphalt.

Answer:
Shelterlogic'c Greenhouse has foot plates at the bottom of every leg. The plates have holes pre-drilled into them to attach anchors. The greenhouse will come with 4 temporary 15" auger anchors. Shelterlogic recommends purchasing permanent 30" anchors and attaching one at every leg.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase for the price. Only pictures for directions was a bit of a problem. Counting and sorting all the pieces took some time. It took three of us 4.5 hours to set up. Excellent sturdy framemail. The greenhouse works well. The plants are doing great in this spacious greenhouse. Bottom flaps rolling up adds ventilation. No equipment for keeping the back flap down, but easily solved with a small pipe to keep it in place. Would recommend this greenhouse for a beginner or a veteran gardner. June 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hut good little grow house doesn't come with the correct amount of anchors though and says so in the first step of instructions May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by overall note :the door stitching/window was poor not even on both sides making it hard to zip .the packing was poor allowing the hardware bag to split resulting loss during shipping the outer box was split April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Assembly directions are a little vague. Directions call for 2hr assembly time plan on spending 4-5 hours. So far so good can't wait to see how it does this winter. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent product This greenhouse took 3 people 2 days to assemble; day 1 was 6 hours of frame assembly, day 2 was about 4 hours of fixing any frame mistakes (and there were some, due to the fact that the instructions were only pictures) and putting on the cover. Pay very very careful attention to the tiny pictures in the instructions, and assume that you will need 4 people and about 8-10 hours to get this completed. Once up, you WILL NEED to buy extra anchors and pipe for the short ends; if not weighted down, they will allow serious air flow, heat loss, and will allow rain and snow into the structure. Since I knew most of this going into the project, thanks to the other reviews, I allowed for extra time, and planned to have extra materials on hand, but this was still a much bigger project than anticipated. I recommend buying longer bungee straps to hold up the long sides, as you only have two options with those - up or down. April 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price and value I love this green house no problems at all so far. It was very hard, still not done, to stretch the outter shell 8" from the ground. I felt it would rip if I was even able to go further. However, while putting it up we did think it was going to be too loose but once all of components came together it is very steardy. I fit in there 2 10X3 and 2 7X3 raised garden beds with a little space in between and it looks great and still very spacious. One possible issue I noticed, there were no pipes or assembly directions for the front and the back walls of the greenhouse as there were for the sides. But nothing that couldn't be easily fixed April 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Greenhouse Bought a portable garage and this greenhouse so I had twice the tubing because by them selves the tubing is spaced 5 feet apart and is not very sturdy, but using two to get one makes it a lot better because in strong winds. The seams on the greenhouse door came right apart so we e-mail the manufacture about the problem but never got a response. I had to come up with a solution so the wind wouldn't blow the door open. It was cheaper to buy two kits rather than find hardware to work with just one. For an economical greenhouse it is OK but there are better choices out there. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greenhouse in a Box The greenhouse is working very well and the plants are growing much faster with it and it should improve our growing season. In just a few weeks we have a tomato larger then a half dollar and buds on all the tomato plants. We have never had a tomato in May just a few buds before. The other plants are also growing and developing very nicely. May 27, 2015
