What are temporary anchors? Can I buy permanent anchors?

Asked by: esccjohn
The anchors included are 15" Auger Anchors and can be used to square up the frame during assembly. We recommend purchasing additional 30" anchors which would be a more permanent anchoring solution. If you have any further questions on anchoring, please contact us at 1800-932-9344. Thank you

GrowIt 24 ft. x 12 ft. x 8 ft. Heavy Duty Walk-Thru Greenhouse is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I've had this greenhouse for about 3 years, and just wanted to check in with an update. The cons... I've had this greenhouse for about 3 years, and just wanted to check in with an update. The construction is easy. I've put together another greenhouse (harbor freight 10x12) and this one is a BREEZE compared to that one. This greenhouse uses very solid, nice sized piping, and I've never once been concerned with the rigidity of the structure. It is pretty easy to roll up the sides, although if left rolled up, they tend to collect water. Cons: Hard to insulate: The plastic sheeting nature of this greenhouse makes it difficult to insulate. The sheets that cover the doors on each end tend to flap around in the wind a little, and the only way to mitigate the wind into the greenhouse (for me) was to put up some wood framing, straw bales, etc. Cover didn't last long. Started ripping about 2 to 2.5 years in. I'm in Florida, so we get a lot of sun, but disappointed that this thing didn't last very long. It started ripping at the contact points where it touches the metal and just went from there. The replacement cover is easy enough to order, but they want close to $400 for it last I checked. No thanks. The structure is still in great shape, so I'm going to go into this year using cheap 4 mil sheeting (~$20) and then plan to purchase 6 mil greenhouse (UV TREATED) sheeting in the summer. (~$75). The UV treated greenhouse sheeting is rated for 4 years, so if I get half of that I'm happy. Hope this helps anyone considering this greenhouse. It's not bad, but if I had to do it all again I'd either make my own using conduit, or buy a cold frame.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for the long term I bought my shelter 3 years ago only to be shock at how short a life span the cover lasts, I stood up to some pretty high winds in it's short life time but nothing special, I can say when I returned to my property only to be met with the zipper door seams ripped to shreds... Oh! says I... on closer inspection the whole cover had tears where the material had just dissolved. So! the material is not really UV resistant and therefore expect to replace your cover in a 2-3 year period. Substantial frame and easy to assemble, anchoring ??? could do with improving to a ground plate that can be more securely anchor'd, the ground anchors supplied are simply not adequate for high winds, I was able to make and drive in 2' U stakes... The Greenhouse is a good starting point, and I was happy at first with my purchase, but had I known the cover was to fail within the 3 years I would have taken a different route. I still have the frame and will make timber framed door section to both ends and cover with a UV resistant cover for additional weather endurance. would I buy another one? Umm! I don't think so, not for a longer term usage...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from they didn't send me all the bolts. i had to go buy half of them. silly for how much it costs i just really wish they would have sent me all the bolts to construct this greenhouse. the construction seems good but it was such a hassle to be half way through erecting it and run out of bolts. come on home depot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleased overall with this greenhouse....a couple of issues however The greenhouse arrived on schedule as promised. We build custom furniture and have an excellent grasp on how things work, how to use the right tools etc. We set out all the different parts, and began to assemble according to the instructions (limited, however to only pictures, some of this is very confusing and frustrating to even skilled builders) as we got to the last ridge pole section, we found it to be missing..not misplaced or "lost"..missing! At this point we fabricated our own pole, but still, would rather have the one that was supposed to be there., Now it seems that there are 2 "extra" short pole sections that are not even included in the packing slips or in the instructions. This is frustrating because it leaves us wondering if we are "missing" something else?...The greenhouse is up, and for now seems to be everything it is advertised. We live in Maine so Winter will be the true test of it's durability.
